It's a retelling of the story of King David, basically, all set in an alterna-America. It's not the best I've seen, but it looks promising.

And you remember that bit with Jonathan and David? Eh? Eh? Well, the king's son, Jack is canonically gay, which also delivers my requisite shipment of HOLYFUCKANGST.

Also: we're finally going on our Forbidden City tour tomorrow. About damn time! I haven't been to the Forbidden City since I was basically a kid, so I've been dying to go, but since I knew the program had a planned date for it I wasn't gonna cough up the cash.
It's funny how my views of how expensive things are have switched so easily to the Chinese yuan. 50元 for a full meal has started to look a little steep, and that's about $7.00USD. But really, I can get a plate full of delicious delicious dumplings for 4元 (¢60), so I'm doomed to being spoiled.
