Rachel, Sarah, and I went "swimming" in the lake this afternoon. I'm not at all sure it counts as "swimming" because the use of that verb implies a bit more frolicking and splashing than we actually got round to. Don't get me wrong - we frolicked and splashed, but the water was FUCKING COLD. Very cold. Like freeze important body parts off (you know the ones I mean) cold.
Then you loose sensation in your limbs to a greater or lesser extent and it's all pretty good until you hop into the hot tub and the whole painful experience begins again. It was a "sensory experience" in a sort of exquisite torture sort of way. Good fun, really.
The kids at ReWa are freaking amazing, by the way. These little kids are all like Jeremy (or Katie Sander, for those who know her) in that particular sort of "whoah... how did you do that impressive athletic maneuver?!?"
This kid who I can pick up and give Superman rides to (hold kid horizontal and facing down in your arms. Spin around fast. "It's a bird!...") can do one-handed cartwheels and handstands and standing backflips and all this crazy stuff. I feel proud when I can touch my toes. >_<
Don't ask me what that LJ-cut title was for, but I must talk Doctor Who. The next episode will be online in about ten days or so as the show is taking a two week hiatus, but it looks like Captain Jack is back! And we'll finally find out who/what that mysterious Mr. Saxon with his weird oxygen(?) mask is up to. *suspicious*
Also, some stuff about a female Doctor potential:
The Case Against a Female Doctorgirl_doctor - A community for fans of the as-yet hypothetical female doctor. This then leads to a lot of femmeslash.
Thus...
The only Rose/Doctor I've ever cared to read. "As far as I remember," said the Doctor. "I've had my high points and low points. There's one of me - I'll take you to see him some time - who walks around in a silly hat and fifteen foot scarf pressing jellybabies on people. And there's another one who wears celery."
Now here's an uncomfortable question: according to the Doctor Who geek manual I got from the library, time lords only usually regenerate about 12 times or so. The above fic rounds up to 13 or something, but what're we gonna do? I sort of have this cute dream about Doctor Who continuing on forever and ever as an eternal constant, but all good things must come to an end.
When is the end of Doctor Who? *wibble*
It's a parody, but still...
