And now...returning from a very long absence....

So I have not written anything in over two months. To all of those who actually cared about my life, I'm sorry but for one reason or another I just had no motivation to write about anything. Although many exciting things happened.

I turned 20.
I went to New Orleans on a service project trip with some friends from school to help with rebuilding work for Katrina relief. It was an incredibly eye-opening experience.
Missed Thanksgiving with my family while in New Orleans (yet was still stuffed by a magnificent feast!).
I have a goatee.
Survived Finals Week and got a 4.0.
Became even better friends with many great people over the semester and met some really cool new people.
Became a semi-regular smoker of cloves.
Christmas.
New Years at the Hillman's cabin.
Epiphany.
Read really good books including "The Hammer of God" and "Eats, Shoots and Leaves."
Found out I really like J.S. Bach and his music.
Lots of fun with high school friends.
Got a passport so I can go to Greece and Turkey in May.
Survived the first two days of new classes (and enjoyed most of them).

That is all I can think about right now. Of course I'm sure I am forgetting something but my brain is kinda shot right now. So I need to go to bed soon. But coming back to school has been really good. I was really sad to leave home this time. This was strange because I don't think I have been that sad yet. I don't really know why although I guess it is because I will be gone for a long time and so will other people. But CURF has helped. The good profs and friends have helped to distract me. And I really do enjoy being with all of them. Words really can't describe how much I enjoy being in the groups of friends that I'm in. And on Saturday I leave with four really cool guys for Fort Wayne Symposia. We will be gone all week and it is going to be so much fun. And I will get to see another important friend while I'm there.

I have not bothered with naming friends in particular because I don't want to exclude anyone. You know who you are and I just have to say how important and close my friendships have come to mean to me. I thank God every day for the blessings of friends that he has placed around me. And thank you, all of you. OK. I'm done before it gets more mushy. Goodnight.
