(no subject)
so i made a quick batch of cookies last night, and they were in the oven for about two minutes before i realized i had forgot to add sugar to the batter. they were still pretty soft, so i re-mixed and we ended up with chocolate swirl cookies instead of chocolate chip cookies. still good though.
update on the southwest trip: we ain't goin. we're realizing how quickly the price of land is rising in SD, and how little time we have if we want to start building next summer. so this summer is entirely devoted to finding our lil piece of heaven. we are still going to las vegas though, obviously because it's free.
we saw a bald eagle yesterday. two, actually. we were watching one flying above a trout pond for about ten minutes. the other one was sitting on the edge of the pond and we didn't even realize it was a bald eagle because we were so into watching the other one. it was humongous. they both flew up and into the hills. the wingspan on those bastards is amazing.
and apparently we have been spending way over our budget. for shame. so no new shoes for me.
