I just got back from downtown a couple of hours ago and I'm gonna tell you guys something that might make you say, 'I'm crazy'. But today, I had met up with my ex boyfriend and his girl. We'd planned to talk, clear out and discuss anything we might've missed. At first I didn't think that this was such a great idea and I didn't really know what it would come up to. But I remembered telling my ex that I'd help him out with his situation.
The meeting place was at the corner of Yonge & Dundas, I approached them thinking that I wasn't going to be okay, but turns out I was stronger than I thought. There were many times that I wanted to break, but had to keep myself together. At first I couldn't look at them in the eye, man it was too hard. I was able to talk to his girl though, trying to convince her to reconsider but she didn't want to so insteand we talked about what had happened in our relationship with him and got to know her side. After all of that we confronted him with all the bullshit that he pulled, he had no explanation.
After an hour and half of talking. I stood up, and I watched them. She was so upset with him and I knew that she was confused out of her mind. I overheard a man talking on his mobile and picked up a good advice. I squatted infront of them and gave them my best advice. It was hard, but it had to be done.
I looked down and said,
"I know that you two share strong feelings for each other, but the man is right, you gotta make the best out of a bad situation and whereas with this, you two should work it out and what I'm saying is real." Then I looked at his girl and said, "K, I know that it's hard to believe the many things he's done, but I've spoken to him and he really wants to be with you. His feelings are genuine and trust me, meeting his mom proves it. No one meets his mom unless that person means a lot to him, and introducing you was real enough."
After my little speech, I got up and ended with touching his head and saying, "take good care of her."
I walked away, and took my last cry on the subway home. But as sad as that may sound,
it's really helped me let go. It'll take a while, but I'll be okay...
