An elderly woman comes to the front desk with several bags, from one she hands me several books.
"Would you have a fork or spoon? I brought my other bag today and forgot them, and they have nothing available downstairs (eye roll)."
In saying, this she adjusts her bags and I see two containers of Cup O' Noodles. I tell her that I have none. She sighs and rolls her eyes.
"Is there anywhere (waving arms to indicate the building) that I could find some?"
I tell her to check the Ave and she gives me a look as if I had wished her an early death. "So nowhere here."
Of course not. This is a LIBRARY. Where books are kept and people occasionally study. This was shortly after Sarah told another patron that they can not have food delivered to them. And it was chow mein. HOW many places serve chow mein, like two blocks away? Take your books there and quit your whining.
