Coalface ingredients & Random Lushy-babble.
I usually use Fresh Farmacy as an every day facial cleanser, but I recently received a sample of Coalface (in my infamously month+ late UK package) and have been using that quite a bit, with some really nice results... It's not that Fresh Farmacy isn't working for me anymore, it's just that I think Coalface might be working a little bit better? I'm thinking about switching, but there's something about Coalface that just bothers me...
According to the Q.I. List on the websites, there's "edible silver lustre" in it.
And in my sample, you can really see it. A LOT of it. Now, I KNOW that this edible silver lustre isn't doing anything beneficial for my skin, so why is it in there? I can't imagine it'd be doing anything other than serving as a possible irritant or something that would eventually clog my pores... I'm assuming because it's "edible" that it must dissolve, or something to that effect, but something about it being in there just bugs me and I don't want to be adding anything to my face that could possibly clog my pores and make me break out for whatever reason. It hasn't happened yet, but I haven't ruled out the possibility with continued use. Anyone have any experience with this? Anyone ELSE wish there wasn't such an unnecessary ingredient in Coalface? Maybe I'm just crazy.
In other news, I'm really excited about the "Tiny Hands" solid hand lotion bars that just came out on the UK site... My Mom wants them soo bad (And they're for the Mother's Day range, how convenient!) And this interesting "Sweet & Shower" stuff to benefit Lush's Tar Sands campaign... The product sounds really odd, but could be really good? Glad to see the UK site back up and running again - Although I'm still a little bit hesitant to order, because of my ordeal last time with my packages taking FOR-EV-ER. We'll see. I'm loving the new Retro items, and I want to make an order sometime soon :)
