UK Haul and a Couple Questions
I got my UK order today! I have been eagerly awaiting the Christmas products and Imogen Rose. I promised myself I would cut down, as I just ordered from Lush UK a few weeks ago and also placed a chat party order last week. Oops! Here is my haul:
Veganese- Never used a liquid conditioner from Lush. I was hoping this would smell more lavendery but it has an overpowering lemon smell. I'm not digging it but I'm hoping it will grow on me. We'll see how it is in action.
Imogen Rose- Tried it at the Gorilla Perfume Event in NYC, it's everything I want it to be. I love it but it does have a very powdery smell common to rose scents. I like it but I think it might turn a lot of people off. I am so in love with it, words fail me but it is a unique and gorgeous scent.
Bearded Lady- Has the same chocolate-chip eyes and red and white color scheme as Gnome Name (R.I.P.). It's hard to describe the scent. It smells like fruit punch to me. It smells good but is very very sweet. I will probably use a bit of it first because it seems it might be overpowering.
So White- Tried this last year, a crisp apple scent, but very pleasant and organic, not like a sour-apple candy smell. Can't wait to use it again.
Snowcake- Still have some left over from last year but couldn't resist a fresh bar. Love it.
Waving not Drowning- Never tried it and it is being disconed so I had to.
Karma Komba- Love Karma so of course I love this. Excited to see what it does for my hair.
Ultimate Shine- Smells ok. We'll see.
Lush Canvas Bag- bigger than I expected, seems well-made and has a convenient pocket. I am geekily excited about using this.
Iced Wine- Smells like tropical-flavored candy. I've never used a shower jelly before, any tips?Winter Bath- Smells like BB Seaweed to me.
Boog- Smells citrusy and fresh. And on the back you can see multi-colored mini-bombs inside, which is a fun touch. I am excited to see the rainbow of colors this will turn the bath. I'm including a picture below of the back.
I asked for samples of moisturizers and facial cleansers and they sent me seven, so generous and lovely. I love Lush.
The pink one is not labeled. Does anyone know what it is? A close-up is below. It is a firm, pink substance, it feels more like a face mask than a lotion. It looks to have little chunks of seaweed or something in it. It's pale pink and smells vaguely of roses but also musky, almost fishy.
Oh and Buch de Noel smells heavenly, like gingersnaps or something. It's Christmasy and lovely.
I am excited to try all these out, though the bath products will have to wait until I visit my parents, because I can't waste my precious Lush on my tiny, unattractive NYC tub.
Questions:
1. Is there no way to push the solid perfume down once you've pushed it up? It's weird, you have to push up on the bottom of the stick like a push-pop, and I can't figure out a way to get it back down.
2. There is a pressed flower stuck on my Karma Komba, do they usually come like that or is it just stuck there from some other product?
3. What the heck is that firm pink stuff??
