Okay first off.. very sad story.. only you guys can fully empathize I think, haha. My mum just got back from a holiday in London.. she dropped by a LUSH there and got me a shower gel 'cause I love the UK formulas. She totally forgot about the airline liquid restrictions as she was rushing to get to the airport, and she accidentally packed the sg ( Read more... )

Each month the shops here are being offered the chance to order things that had previously been forum specials or limited edition - Butterball SG was February, but when I was in my local shop last weekend they still had one bottle left.

It's a shame it got confiscated, it's really lovely. I have no idea what the policy is on getting stuff back, check the website maybe?

our store had stuff that were left over from valentine's day that they were still selling... so it's a likely the store's might have it... i'm so sorry she had it taken!! boo airports! boo!! (moment of silence for lost LUSH)

You can alway's try ebay UK too, they alway's have lush on there, and most will ship over here... that's what I do to get UK only stuff :)

The trouble is people deliberately stock up in order to sell at inflated prices on eBay. There is a seller with 2 bottles on eBay UK, but they're £5 more than they were in store and shipping is £10! I've sent a 500g bottle to the US, and it wasn't £10!

The Butterball shower gel was a limited edition introduced in store in the run up to Valentine's day; it wasn't available on the website. I have no idea about retrieving it from Heathrow, sorry.

Aww, that's terrible!

About the airport though, I think you're outta luck. I knew someone that had a fairly expensive bottle of wine given to them before they flew and they didn't think and tried to carry it on. It was confiscated and they tried to give it to one of the workers (it was unopened) so it wouldn't go to complete waste. They said that everything MUST be thrown out.

I've had tools that I accidentally left in my carry on (for work) and they just throw them out. No exceptions. You can't even mail them to yourself from the other side anymore.

Yeah I tried googling it, and came across a lot of Heathrow horror stories, lol. I have chalked it up as a sad loss :(

That really sucks! I remember, at least flying domestically in the US, that they had a mailing kiosk that you could pay at and they'd ship it to you. I don't understand why they've gotten rid of a lot of those.
