True Life: I'm a Lush Addict...

So I've been lurking this community for a while, never getting around to posting any entries of my own. I'm pretty much obsessed with Lush. I'm always on MUA reading LUSH reviews and reviewing things myself, and I'm constantly creeping on YouTube at all the people who do "Lush Hauls" and I've always wanted to be a dork and do one of my own... So, here we go! I am unreasonably excited...

My LUSH drawer :)

New Colour Supplements! I live in the US, but I ordered this (in Light Yellow) as well as the Bubblegum Lip Scrub from the UK site because I HAD to have them. I mix this with Celestial Moisturizer to make a tinted moisturizer. It's very sheer, but the color matches my pale skin PERFECTLY, and so far I really like it.

Bubblegum Lip Scrub, of course. I picked this one because I don't usually go for mint things, which means Mint Julips was out... And I always prefer to smell anything that Lush makes with a "chocolate" scent to it, and since I couldn't smell these before purchasing, I went for the Bubblegum one since it's scent is supposed to be like Snow Fairy. It's delicious, and it works very well. People complain that it's a rip-off because I GUESS you could make a lip scrub along the same lines as this one by yourself, but who actually has time for that, and I'm sure it wouldn't be even half as good as Lush's.

Angels On Bare Skin... I use this every morning and every night, and it's been helping my skin out so much. It was between this and Herbalism when I bought it, but I'm glad I went with AOBS and as you can see, I'm almost out of it! It wasn't a big amount at all, but I've had it for a while now so it definitely lasts a long time. I need to buy more SOON.

Grease Lightning... After every time I wash my face with AOBS, I follow up with a thin layer of this all over my face. It's perfect. I need to get another bottle of this soon, as well.

Sweetie Pie Shower Jelly... I think this smells a little too artificial-sickeningly-sweet-plastic-y-fruity... I don't know. I like the concept, it's pretty cool, and I do use it from time to time, but I don't really know if I'd re-purchase it. I put a chunk in a loofah in the shower and it lathers up nicely, but I'd just assume use one of Lush's soaps.

Sultana of Soap... I actually like the fruit/nut bits at the top. I'm not THAT crazy about the smell, but it's a nice soap.

Godmother Soap... This smells like straight up red Swedish Fish. I really like this one, even though I'm not usually one to go for the candy-sweet smells that Lush makes. This, and the Bubblegum Lip Scrub have changed my mind on that.

Karma Soap... I don't understand all the hype. Maybe it's because I'm not much of a citrus person, but I'm fairly indifferent about this one.

Porridge Soap... LOVE THIS. Give me anything with milk, honey, vanilla, oats, ANYTHING like that and I'm sold 100%. This smells so delicious, I want to eat it. The oats can be a little annoying and they get everywhere, but the smell has me so completely infatuated with it, I don't even care.

Honey I Washed The Kids Soap... Everybody needs to try HIWTK at some point. Again, give me anything milk, honey, vanilla, oats, etc and I'm sold. AGAIN, I'm infatuated.

Celestial Facial Moisturizer... I've never used this alone, I only use it to mix with my Colour Supplement... But it's definitely moisturizing, if not maybe a little bit too heavy at times for my type of skin. I bought this one rather than any of the other Lush Moisturizers simply because it was the cheapest... Some day maybe I'll spend a little more on a better one. It smells really nice though, so that's a plus.

This is a sample of Pied de Pepper foot cream... I REALLY wish this wasn't a foot cream, because I don't use them... But I used this, because it smells so absolutely delicious, I would use it on the rest of my body if it didn't have so much oil in it. You can see how it's separated in the little sample pot. All I know, is this smells like COOKIES. Nom nom nom.

Sample of Sympathy for the Skin lotion... Not a fan. Smells kind of icky, feels kind of icky, and I'm not impressed.

My friend gave me this sample of Ocean Salt Exfoliator, and I'm sold. The next time I go to Lush, this is for sure going to be one of my purchases. It's REALLY expensive, but I love it so much I will take the plunge.

Mange Too Massage Bar... Smells a little iffy, sort of like Play-Doh at first, but it's supposed to smell like White Chocolate and Honey. I can kind of pick up those scents, but not as much as I wanted. It's got a minty note to it as well. It's very greasy, but all massage bars are. I use it from time to time after the shower, but usually not if I'm in a rush to be anywhere... It takes a long time to sink in. I want to try Soft Coeur (Couer?) because I love the smell, as well as Heavanilli, but they're both so small and higher-priced than some of the others... I'm mostly just infatuated with the concept of massage bars... And Mange Too is my first and only so far, so I'm ready to experiment.

Karma Komba Solid Shampoo Bar... This is a great, neutral shampoo. I've tried Godiva, which I LOVE... as well as Seanik, and Ultimate Shine. So far, Godiva is my favorite, and I'd say Karma Komba is a second favorite. Seanik smells gross after a few uses, and I'm not so crazy about Ultimate Shine. I'm DYING to try out BIG, and maybe one of the liquid conditioners, since all I've tried from Lush so far are their solids.

Jungle Solid Conditioner...Took me a while to get the hang of using, and took me a while to like it. It can be a pain in the butt sometimes, especially if you're in a rush and just need to get in the shower, get your hair washed, and GO. It doesn't give you that "slip" feeling like regular conditioner does, and it's a little hard to brush out your hair afterwards because of that. I still like it, though. The smell is REALLY nice, like fresh-cut grass, and again, I just love the concept of it. It's neat.

The Soft Touch Body Butter... Pretty much the same thing as a Massage Bar to me. I know most body butters are meant to be used in the shower, but I don't use this one in the shower. I use it just the same way as I use my Mange Too, and it does all the same things, only smells different. There are more options with massage bars, and all of the other body butters have specific things in them that mean you HAVE to use them in the shower, so I'll stick to massage bars and just be glad that I gave The Soft Touch a try. It's nice, but there are other scents of massage bars that I like better.

Honey Bee Bath Bomb... Smells so ridiculously delicious, I take it out of it's wrapper just to smell it sometimes. I haven't used it yet because I'm saving it for a special occasion. I've tried Butterball as well, and I LOVE that one too. This is the only other bath bomb that I've purchased, and I can't wait to use it. If it's as awesome as Butterball, I'll be re-purchasing this.

Sample of Aromarant Deodorant... Not so fond of this. Smells kind of iffy, doesn't really work so well. Hmmm.

Full-sized T'eo Deodorant... I can't stand this. It is so disgustingly lemon-y scented, and it smelled SO much more tolerable in the store, and when I got it home I wanted to throw up. It's awful. AND, it doesn't work for me... If you LOVE Lemon scents, give this a shot. Maybe it'll work for you. NEXT!

Just my little box of sample scraps... Alkmaar Soap, and Rockstar Soap. Both are "meh" in my opinion, but they do the job.

YAY!
