Since it's Saturday night and I can't go out because one of my wisdom teeth is popping through and my face is in enormous amounts of pain, I have nothing better to do than to post some reviews of Lush products I've been using. I'm fairly new to Lush; I bought the Marilyn hair treatment at the recommendation of a friend a couple months ago, and ever since then I've been slowly converting all my beauty products to Lush. Alot of these are samples, as I have a friend that works in the store and always loads me up with em.

FYI, I'll be reviewing hair and skin stuff, my skin is normal/combo, oily nose, slight redness on cheeks and nose. My hair is a platinum blonde pixie cut, and is pretty dry from all the damage/experiments when I was in beauty school. ;)

Anyways, feel free to tell me what you think of these products, or if you've never used them and want to know more, ask!

Hair:
*The Blonde Shampoo Bar (sample)- I've only used this a few times, I'm not really fond of the smell, but it lathers up nicely and makes my hair nice and shiny. Really brightened up the color. I'm sure I'll buy this when my (gigantic chunk of a) sample runs out.
*Daddy-O(sample)-I love this stuff, it's great for toning my hair!!! I used to use Clairol Shimmer Lights, but you have to leave it on for a few minutes to get it to work, and if you aren't careful it turns parts of your hair purple. With this stuff, it seems alot more potent (I got 3 uses out of the tiny little black sample pot), I just use a litle bit, leave it on maybe 30 seconds, and rinse. Definitely noticed that it took the yellow, dull tones out of my hair when it needs it. I will absolutely be buying this when the sample runs out.
American Cream(sample)-I don't really understand why everyone loves this so much. I was expecting a fruity smell, something like Yummy Yummy Yummy, but it really smelled like a combo of cigarette ashes and men's cologne to me. Not to mention when I used it, it just felt like I skipped conditioning all together. Not trying again.
*Veganese(sample)-This, on the other hand, is awesome. Love the citrus-y smell, and I leave it in for a couple minutes before rinsing and it makes my hair super shiny and tangle free. I wish the consistancy were more like American Cream, I'm a fan of thick conditioners, but I can live with it. Will be buying when the sample is gone!!
*Marilyn-I was skeptical about this at first, I used it and didn't notice much of a difference. However, at the suggestion of someone here, I put it all over my hair and sat out in the sun for awhile, then rinsed it out and followed up with The Blonde and Veganese. It was heavenly. That was one of my best hair days in a long time. I think it works better if you use it with other Lush hair products, before I was rinsing it out and using Redken shampoo. The only downside is that you have to use a TON of it, but since my hair is so short I think the tub will last awhile.

I've loved almost every Lush hair product I've used, and that's saying alot, because I used to be a hairdresser and I would ONLY use salon products. It takes alot to convert me.

Face:
*Angels on Bare Skin- I.am.in.love. with this stuff. I'm having a hard time getting the right consistency, I either use too little or too much water, but it feels so nice on my skin that I don't even care. Smells like old ladies but the smell doesn't linger, and I like how you only need a pea-sized amount. My 10 dollar tub will probably last 2 months. (I wash my face morning and night)
*Ultrabland(sample)-I can't use this as a regular cleanser (is there some kind of technique?), it's waaaay too oily and won't come off, but I like to just put a little in my fingers and rub off all my gobs of mascara. Gentle on the eyes, too. As purely a makeup remover, I like this alot.
*Breath of Fresh Air- I've never used toner before but since this was only 7 bucks, I decided to give it a try. Nice and refreshing on my face, and it helps with the redness on my nose and cheeks. Soaks up the oil on my nose nicely, too. I also like to put a little bit of this on a cotton pad and wipe away my leftover eye makeup after using Ultra Bland.
*Imperialis(sample)-The day I bought my other skin stuff, I didn't have enough money for a moisturizer so I got a sample of this. I was using Burt's Bee's before and this stuff only costs a couple bucks more, so I'll be switching to it. It is a little greasy at first, but it absorbs pretty quickly. I've heard that a little goes a long way but I find that I have to use quite a bit , maybe a penny-size amount. That's okay though, I think this is the perfect moisturizer for my skin type.
*Crash Course in SkinCare Fresh Face Mask-The SA recommended this for my skin type when I asked for something that would just brighten me up and make me glowy and soft. It did just that. Some people don't like the smell, but I actually kinda do, haha. They said to warm it up between your hands since it's refrigerated, but personally, I like to put this on when it's cold. Wakes me up and it may just be my imagination, but I think it helps with the dark circles under my eyes. Couldn't stop touching my face after I washed it off.

The SA told me that switching over to Lush skin care products would give me a "teenage skin" phase for about a week while my body was getting used to it, but I haven't noticed anything. My skin feels better than ever!

Shower Gels/Soaps/Lotions/Bath
*Yummy Yummy Yummy-Smells delicious. Common complaint is that it's runny, and it is, but if I squeeze a little onto a loofah I've found it lathers up pretty nicely.
*Snow Fairy-Okay, when I used this for the first time, I coughed a little at how STRONG and sickly sweet the scent was. Usually I'm all about the candy girly smells, but this was waaay too much. I used it anyways, and the smell only lingers for a bit, and it made my skin really soft. Probably won't buy a bottle before the Christmas stuff is done, but I'll be using up the big free bottle I got in the promotion.
*Porridge-I love the smell of this, and I like using it to exfoliate my legs before I shave. The little seed clog my drain though...I keep this in a soap dish by the sink and have been using it as a hand soap as well.
*Sympathy for the Skin- I'm in love with this stuff. It smells like bananas, but not in a Banana Boat kind of way, more like a banana smoothie. The scent is very very light, which is good for me because I like to wear perfume and don't like anything to overpower it. Nice and rich and thick. Perfect for winter.
*Smitten(sample)-My friend gave me a little sample pot of this to keep in my purse. I think I'm going to have to buy this, it smells divine and it keeps my nasty dry hands soft.
*Supernova Bath Bomb- This is the first bath bomb I ever used, I got it for free....are you supposed to drop it in while the water is running or after? I did it after and it fizzed a little and then just started sloooowly melting...I got impatient and ran it under the bath water to get it to melt. Ha. It didn't do anything amazing for my skin, but who doesn't like pink bathwater with confetti? Didn't have problems with the confetti clogging the drain, and it made my bathroom smell great for the next 24 hours. Was a nice, relaxing bath after working my retail job all day on Black Friday.
