No sir, I don't like it...

I LOVE Lush and am an addict-in-training. However, I don't like everything I've come across in Lush-land...in fact, there are some things I downright loathe!

So, please tell me what your great dislikes are in the Lush product line?

I have a few personal "hates"...one (perhaps two) for sure to be scandalous.

Massage Bars (any and all). I don't get them.

It's not complicated: you use them to give massages. They're a handy alternative to having to get different essential oils and mix them with a carrier - they tend to be more portable, and I find them hugely useful if I'm just giving someone a should massage, as if I mix an oil from scratch, it's very difficult to make a small enough amount of oil that everything get used. With the massage bars, there's no wastage.

Oh, I understand how they work and the benefits of less waste...I just don't understand why people love them so much when they make me feel so gross skin-wise and smell-wise. Perhaps an unscented version would be good?

Personally, I've only used Wiccy Magic Muscles and Sore Labours, which are great for sore muscles and joints, especially after a long day of being on my feet. I will note that they do make me a bit greasy, and I have to wash off well afterward, but the warming effects of the bars really help relax my ankles and legs, even in light of my tendinitis and other assorted foot and leg issues. :) It's kind of a trade off - the good is worth the need to wash well afterward.

What do they smell like? Or more to the point: are they heavily scented? I really think it's the cocoa butter smell I can't stand...so something that would overpower that would be a good thing.

Washing afterward? So that would be a good thing to use post-workout, pre-shower rather than an after-shower moisturiser?

Sore Labours smells (to me) like cloves...kind of spicy and warm, yummy :) And as sooz said, Wiccy smells like cinnamon and mint.

And I definitely recommend post workout, pre-shower. For me, the bars are a bit too oily to just use as moisturizer, and even after washing up, the "warmth" and tinglies in my muscles stuck around for a good hour or more afterward. :)
