If it hadn't been discontinued almost ten years ago, I'd say for sure it's Canadian Maple. Looks just like it, and that sounds kinda like how I'd describe the smell if I weren't allowed to use the words "maple syrup", lol.
No other soap I can think of smells and looks like that (HIWTK is closest, but the scent isn't quite right and the color is a smidge on the dark side). Also, imo, if it were Banana Moon, you'd know. It's a very banana smell, not wishy washy at all (plus it doesn't look yellow enough).
I'm fairly sure it's not a buttercream, since I did also receive the Almond Butter with that order and it's so... soft. I's just squishy even after I threw it in the fridge. I'm starting to search everywhere else on the website though.
You might be able to contact Lush and just ask them directly. I'm sure they have some sort of system where they know exactly what they've been sending out. :)
Sorry to comment again, but as I was showering just now, I had a thought - Lush is switching away from palm oils towards coconut oil. The new palm-free soaps are a bit darker in color...perhaps your mystery soap IS HIWTK, but a palm-free version (although US shops haven't started getting that one in yet to my knowledge). I haven't noticed a scent change in any of our palm-free soaps, but maybe the scent was a bit affected a la new Therapy.
Just a thought. I still say the scent doesn't sound right for HIWTK, but that might explain the color being off.

Could it be a buttercream?
