So I'm pretty new to Lush, but I've heard awesome things. The first thing I ever ordered was the "25 Days of Christmas" giftset with the after-Christmas sale. I still have a bunch of things left because my tub isn't the nicest thing ever to lie in, so I'm waiting until I move. There's a Lush store in my hometown, which I'm recently visited and am moving back to so I'm excited.
The store was pretty overwhelming. The sales folks kinda contributed by over-explaining things things, but it was okay. They were a little aggressive, but I came in with a goal to buy stuff, so I didn't mind. I really wanted to try out Lush's skincare and they were overjoyed to explain it all to me. I have acne-prone, hormonal skin that doesn't respond well to medication, which is too harsh. I ended up with Tea-Tree Water, Fresh Farmacy and a sample of Vanishing Cream (which was a little expensive just to buy without trying). I got a big chunk of FF, so I hope it works. In retrospect I probably should've gotten a smaller bar. But so far, so good! FF really makes my skin smoother and less oily, and I love the calming scent. I still have a few trouble spots here and there, but I just got my period today and usually at this point, I have a few really bad breakouts. I think the skincare stuff really helped in preventing that. It's also great because I live in Florida, so it's exceedingly humid all the time, so my face is often sweaty and mega-shiny. This is definitely better than my previous routine.
Then I picked up a Hair Affair kit because it was just such a good deal. I got Seanick, Squeaky Green and Big for my shampoos and Veganese for my conditioner. So far I've just tried the SG and the Jungle conditioner and I think my hair really liked it. It was muuuuch shinier and actually kinda nicely wavey. I have neither straight hair nor curly hair - usually I'd describe it as "lumpy" looking. It's also pretty oily and I noticed I could go longer without shampooing when I used the Lush stuff. (before I was using Garnier Fructise). I also picked up a piece of Karma and got a goody bag with the Silky Underwear dusting powder (not sure how to use it, but it smells good), some Big Calm jelly and half a Comforter. I think I'm definitely converted to their hair care and skin care!
I guess now I'm pretty hyped up and don't know what to try out next...I'm not big on the bubble bars and bombs because that seems like a lot of money for a single bath.
