Huh, I got back from another shopping trip, and I thought that it might be fun to share some of my thoughts on the stuff I bought with the awesome people here. So, onto the reviews
New! Shampoo Bar: My hair tends to fall out during major temperature changes, so I bought this to take care of that problem. And let me tell you, it does! This was the first Lush product that I bought this year, I've been using it for a long time and I can definitely feel a difference. Although my hair falls out a little when I brush it, otherwise, it's strong and shiny and full. I was a little sad that the scent didn't linger for a longer time. If you have healthy hair but it suffers from hair loss time to time, I'd highly recommend buying this.
Jumping juniper Shampoo Bar: Ah, this one is a lifesaver for my oily hair. I have to wash it everyday, but at the same time avoid build up. When I tried this for the first time, it seemed pretty meh. But when my hair dried, oh my! It was shiny (from lemons), healthy looking (from lavender) and oil free ( juniper oil) I could not stop touching my hair all day long. It wasn't really scented, but the bar itself didn't have much of a smell. I took this to when I went camping with my friends and they were all jealous of how shiny my hair was even though we were in the nature and such.
Happy Hippy shower gel: A grapefruity godess for waking you up. It smells (to me, at least) like fresh lemonade. This is my perfect summer shower gel/shampoo (because it works really great for my hair, too!) The lather with this is somewhat mediocre, but the smell! It lingers on my skin for a couple of hours, even longer on my hair.
Skinny Dip butter cream: Now, when I was writing down stuff to buy on my next Lush trip, I thought of this to be sort of like the other buttercreams, really creamy and fluffy. Once I opened the box it was in, I was pleasantly surprised. It looked like a bar of soap. Of course, it still has the moisturising effects all the other ones have, it just looks a little different. The scent I really can't describe. To me, it smells like cedarwood and vetivert, and I smell no coconut. It took me a long time to like this, but now I love it a lot.
Snowshowers shower jelly (yes, the one with crust on the sides): I take it that is supposed to be a christmassy smell, since it was sold during Christmas. Well, I think it smells like mimosa ( the champagne and oj kind). It's sort of a bubbly citrus smell. Lathers up wonderfull, left my bathroom smelling great for and hour or two after I took a shower. I tossed a lil' bit in my hair and it smelled delicious, too.
Veganese hair conditioner: I got this as a sample and hours after I used it, I had my own bottle. It does wonders for my oily hair, leaves it manageable, shiny and smelling like lemons. I don't have to use a whole lot of it. I was really happy to find a suitable conditioner, since most of the ones I tried weighed my hair down a lot and made it dull.
Ice blue soap: Ahh, this soap is minty and refreshing. It's another one of my staple summer/ warm weather products. The (pepper)mint shoots right into my nose and tingles on the skin. Now, I do know that the UK Lush hase a different base for their soaps that makes them lather less than the NA ones. But I use a shower puff(poof? pouf?), loofah type of thing, and it lathers up just great. Anyway, I love this soap.
Honey I washed the kids soap: Do I even need to say anything about this? Soft, melty soap, smells somewhat yummy. Again, the scent doesn't linger on my skin for a long time, but I guess it's just my skin because nothing sticks to it.
Spice Curls soap: This soap has a bit of a story behind it. I went to store, looking for something that would smell like the New! shampoo bar. I didn't see Spice Curls, since it was kinda hidden behind a large chunk of The Godmother and I Should Coco. So I asked the SA and her eyes shone and she said "I've got just the thing for you!". That's how I bought Spice Curls. Now, about the soap. It smells like the Big red chewing gum on the firt whiff, but then the ground paprika and chilli peppers bring the spicyness. It provides gentle exfoliation. I love it, really and this scent actually lingers for a really long time.
Dark Angels facial cleanser: The baby of AOBS and Coalface, as someone described it. I love it to bits. My skin is purely oily, and when I use this, it becomes oil-free, baby soft and shining. Although it is quite messy to use which some people may not like, I think it's worth the mess to see your face in the mirror after using this.
Enzymion moisturiser: I was a bit dissapointed with this. It claims to eat up oils on the face and give it a smooth and matte finish. And It did, only for a couple of hours. I put it on, and I thought wow this works! But by noon, I got really shiny around my nose and forehead that I had to wipe down my makeup and re-apply it. I use it as a nighttime cream now, and it works better like that.
Also, I have a question. How does Gorgeous work for oily skin? (And I do not mean combination or sometimes oily/sometimes dry...just oily all over.)
And could someone describe the scent of Silky underwear, i.e. compare it to another Lush scent?
