Lush Review #5 Shampoos and Deodorants

This should finish up the Lush reviews, for now. In my fifth edition, I'll review the shampoos and deodorants I've tried:

Aromaco Deodorant - Before you put it on, it doesn't smell like much. It borders on a "bad" smell, mildly sour. For this reason, I passed by this deodorant on each of my 400 trips to Lush. And then they sent me a sample with my online order. Now I'm hooked. It mixes with your B.O. to create a wonderfully fresh patchouli smell. At the end of the day, I still smell great. I agree with the online review that said "The more I sweat, the better I smell." My boyfriend doesn't like patchouli, but I will wear this on weekdays until my sample runs out. On that note, the sample is lasting me FOREVER. Such a good bargain!

Aromacreme Deodorant - I bought this as an alternative to Aromaco. Unlike Aromaco, this one smells sweet even before you put it on. I paid attention to the online reviews that mentioned "fire pits" and removed the brown bits (lychee). So far, I've had no irritation. It smells great and lasts all day. It's got a little bit of powder in it to keep you dry, and so far I've had no complaints.

Godiva Solid Shampoo Bar - This is my FAVORITE Lush product, hands down. It smells like a Jasmine dream. The first day I used it, I literally asked everyone I knew to sniff my hair. They were all impressed with how great it made my hair smell. It also delivers on its promise to shampoo and condition. In the shower, your hair will feel "squeaky clean" and you'll be disturbed enough by this new sensation to think you need more conditioning. But you don't! You'll notice how soft and detangled your hair is once you dry it and comb/brush through it. If you dye your hair, try something else (I hear Reincarnate is good) because it will strip your hair color.

Hybrid Solid Shampoo Bar - It smells delicious, like licorice! I love that both men and women can use this shampoo bar. It also lives up to the 2-in-1 claim. This one left my hair very soft. Did I mention how easy to use the shampoo bars are? Three swipes, a little lather, rinse, and you're done!

Jungle Conditioner - I bought this before I realized I don't need a conditioner. I use this when I'm using the versatile shower gels on my hair. It smells really great (another unisex smell), like you're in a fragrant jungle. And it seems to soften hair really well. It's hard to tell that it's working in the shower, but after it's dry, you'll swear you went to a salon...in the jungle!

Let Them Eat Cake Lip Balm - I think Lush discontinued this lip balm, so I linked to an Ebay auction. It smells delicious, tastes like nothing, and moisturizes lips well. I don't know why it's so grainy though. I hoped it would be more smooth. Oh well, it does make it convenient for vegans to eat (or smell) cake.

NEW! Solid Shampoo Bar - I haven't used this yet, but I've sniffed my boyfriend's hair and I love it! It smells like cinnamon and cloves. It only claims to shampoo (not condition) but my boyfriend skipped the conditioner and looked just fine.

That's it for now! I still have a few products in the queue, waiting to be tried. And as long as my wallet allows, I will be visiting Lush almost every weekend.
