Old School goodness!
I was helping a friend sort and organize her amazing stash of old school discon items tonight, and as a thank-you, she offered up some of the most amazing goodies to me.
Included:
~Snow on Snow - 2006! The 2007 tub went straight into the trash as soon as I got home. I had forgotten just how beautiful the '06 version really was. All pure snowcakey goodness. I am in snowcake heaven! And really, I'm not sure what happened with the '07 batch, but it smells like paint. I couldn't justify tossing it before now, but since I have a whole, fresh, unopened (well, before now anyways...) pot of my little '06 back in my hands, into the trash it goes!
~A huge chunk of Twas the Night before Christmas soap (2005)! Lavendar, chamomile and black currant, in the same combo as my beloved Black Pearl bath bomb. Why that was disconned is beyond me. It still is, without a doubt, my favorite Lush fragrance of all time!
~Honeywood shower gel! Yes, it's true! I actually have a li'l bottle of the original precious. Oh, how I will ever make myself actually use it instead of just opening up the cap to whiff it is beyond me...
~and just for fun, a Party On temple balm! Coffee, lime oil, lemongrass, rosemary oil, and menthol, and juniperberry. Sort of a mix of awake/detox. This seems like a hangover cure temple balm if there ever was one. It's a new one for me, and I'm sure I'll find a good use for it ;)
But some of her stash easily goes back to the 2002/2003 era, and it was a ton of fun getting reacquainted with some old faves, including things like the icon bbs, karma bomb, flowermarket bbs, and just tons of other old school goodies that haven't made their way back to us via the retro rounds. Plus, add a bottle of red wine, Wednesday night Bravo! tv, and homemade pasta and ginger cookies, and I'd say it was the perfect Lush night!
