Recon - Not feeling it...

I bought Recon in late fall/early winter and used it twice, both times as directed. Neither time was I pleased with the product or the results. I don't like the feel of the product, the application method (I really don't like applying something *only* to my roots because my hair is long, curly, and has a mind of its own), and the fact that the results were non-existant--after using Recon, my hair was neither better nor worse.

Since it's been discontinued, am I still able to return the product? Or, am I now stuck with it? I'm not willing to give it another try, so I'm not asking for advice on how to use it. I really want to know if and how I can end this dead-end relationship.
