Long LONG LONG LONG excrutiating weekend
Original plan - move in to shiny new apartment saturday - through monday - live happily ever after.
ME and Karl woke up earling on Satruday Morning and went to check out our pretty new apt..... We were very disapointed to find it was a mess! They left lots of things behind, they had no vacummed or swept or cleaned the fridge or threw out the garbage/recycling the carpet is stained and the walls in the bathroom and bedroom were dirty.
Plan 2 - clean messy apt saturday - paint sunday - move in monday.
So we were sad and angry and got to cleaning. after 3-4hours the place looked good, except the stained carpet and the messy walls.. We decided we would get up the next day and buy paint for the bedroom and bathroom.
Karl decided we had to "do it right" so he removed all the switch plate covers and towel racks from the bathroom, to discover several HOLES left from the insainly long screws teh people used for the towel racks. So he called his friend Sean who informed him we would have to fill in the holes before we painted and that we couldn't paint over the filled in holes for 24hrs at least...
We moved a few things of karls and mine over. - small boxes a bag of clothes..
We went home to bed.
Sunday - we woke up early to go to home depot to get the paint and other supplies.
We got white paint for the bathroom and tropical tide (blue/green) for the bedroom. we had lunch, we met up with karls friend phil who was goign to help us paint, but had to leave at 3pm. We got back to the apt around 1-2pm we laid down plastic on the already stained carpet in teh bedroom to get ready to paint. Phil had to leave. Me and karl had to get to linda and Emillo's bday party at my dad's house. so we left. Planing to come back later with a load of stuff and paint the bedroom and fix teh holes in the bathroom.
Karl wanted to relax. I was mad.

paint apt monday and fix bathroom monday morning - move more stuff in.
We slept in a bit- got up around 1030. went to th enew place. painted the bedroom. Karls friend Sean (the plan ruiner from part 1) came over to help fix the bathroom walls. I painted the bedroom while they did that. the first layer of ?Wall gunk? needed to dry so Karl and Sean left to do arrands. they were gone for over 1hr. I did the whole second coat in the bedroom by myself.. and started prepping the bathroom (tarp/tape) I cleaned the oven some more.. I waited. They finaly came back with lunch at least :) and dish soap. Sean did a second coat of wall gunk and left.. me and Karl went to his house to clean up a bit.. watched tv for 1hr and then came back to the apt and started painting the bathroom. The bed room looks awesome. The bathroom looks good to, we may need 1 more coat.
Plan 4 - move in through out the week and this coming weekend
In related news...
My dad's pick up truck isn't starting so we can not move anything that doesn't fit in karl work van or a car
We are going to check out the bathroom tonight - we also needed to buy a new door seeing as karl broke the bathroom door tring to get the door nob off (it was loose.. and stuck in one place so he was going to fix it. the screw was stripped he couldn't get it off. he pryed it off.. the door cracked.
We called Ida (the landlord is on vacation _ Ida is her assitant) Ida wanted to see the stains in the carpet. she came over, we were not there, she didn't call us.. I called her again today and gave her permission to go into the apartment if we were there or not to see the stains, she is calling me back tomorrow morning to arrange a time to have the carpets steam cleaned. we are not brining any bedroom/living room furniture until they are cleaned.. moving in is on hold, but I need to be there by this coming weekend I have to get all my stuff in order for the show.
