Soupy Sales
Soupy Sales has died. For some reason I remember him mostly from his late 1960s-early 1970s appearances on "What's My Line?" Obviously he was famous before that.

For a couple of months in sixth grade, I kept a pet toad and named him/her/it (gender never determined) Soupy Sales. Only pet toad I ever had. My mother made me release Soupy into the wild when it became clear that the teacher was never going to build a terrarium for us to contribute plants and animals to.
