Maine makes it four out of six New England states, and five out of the 50 states, to recognize same-sex marriage! New Hampshire, of all place, might be next....
This, after the DC City Council voted to recognize same-sex marriages performed elsewhere in the U.S. (Some news accounts said "performed in other states," but the District IS NOT a state, sad to say.)
