Kilowatt-hours
I seem to have used about the same number of kilowatt-hours in July 2005 as in July 2004. (My electric bill tracks usage for the previous year.)
I was hoping that I was using a bit less electricity now, because my programmable thermostat raises the A/C temperature to 82 degrees while I'm at work, and then drops it back down to 78 degrees by the time I get home at night.
I wonder whether this means that this summer is hotter than last summer -- or whether my condo is just energy-inefficient.
