Summary of summer so far
Three weeks of no updating. Probably for the best. It's a bit creepy that any random bloke could come along and read up on my life.
I finally got hired at Tim's. And now I'm a backshift slut. I actually have to leave in 20 minutes to go to work, and it's 10:01. At night. Fun.
Anyway, Ashley, Amber and I danced all over town yesterday. We ran rampant in Chapters, and I had suprising self-control. I didn't buy a single book (holding off until I finish what I already have to read), but made up for it by buying a frappuchino at Starbucks. Grossly overpriced, but it was pretty good. And I tried drinking chocolate, and it's disgustingly addictive. Really rich, and coats your throat to ensure you can't breathe, even though my mocha did a better job of trying to kill me. It was then off to Dartmouth to catch a ferry, but "we" (read: me) got ourselves stuck in a no-left intersection heading across the bridge, and wound up having to park at a meter which was broken. Saw some Buskers, ran around to what few shops were open (everything closes at 5, and I only woke up at 2 from backshift), commented on the deathly high prices in Night Magic Fashions, had some supper and headed back to Ash's for some DDR. Then it was off to work with Troy, who is too slack for his own good. Still though, he's a great guy.
Aside from getting pounded in the ass with shitty shifts, my life on the surface has been pretty good. Finally employed, have money, spending minimal time at home, all the good things.
Off to dress up for work. Wheeee.
