Pockets make me smile.

Hooooookay. Haven't updated for a while, because I've been too busy sleeping/working/not being home-ing.

As the title implies, I'm pretty pumped over getting pockets for my work pants. Actual pockets, not that faux-pocket-it's-actually-really-stupid-seams that all regular T-Ho's worker pants have. And a black visor too, they're actually not bad looking compared to the english toffee colored crap I have now.

Q: Why do I get new pants and a visor?
A: I'm a supervisor, bizatch.

For whatever bizarre reason, I'm being trusted with a building full of unmotivated teenagers and donuts. Keep in mind that I had trouble tying my shoes until I was twelve, and you'll get an idea of why that's a bad move on Steve's part. But PANTS. PAAAAAANTS. First supe shift is next friday. Wheeeee.

Missed the first day of school, and was about five minutes late for work today. Septic system backed up on sunday night, the shit-sucker guys said they'd be here to drain the tank by 8AM this morning. I figured "Hey, I'll be a few minutes late for first class, but I'll be clean, so it's all good". 8 comes and goes, no crap vaccum in my driveway yet. At 9 dad gives them a call; they can't make it till 11AM. Somretime after noon we call again, their truck got tied up at a dumping station (appearantly there are dedicated spots of land where you can dump a few tons of people-waste and not get arrested) and it won't be here until 2. Finally pulls in at 3PM, buddy spends a half hour talking with my parents and then ten minutes clearing the tank. I, throughly pissed, take a shower and bolt to work. Gwar.

American cousins were down for a visit this past week. They wanted a vacation, and lucky for them, the Canadian dollar is still weak enough that they can come here for a vacation and spend less than they do in an average week on gas, food and lodging at home. I didn't find out they were coming until we went to my aunt's for supper. (BTW they're the same ones I whined about all summer).

Bed now.
