“Have you found him Hika?”
“No! He’s not at the gym.”
“Argh!!!!!!!!!”
“Calm down Kota! I’m sure he’s nearby!”
“But we’ve searched everywhere!!”
“His school! Maybe he’s there!”
“Going to the university this late at night? I don’t think so.”
“But we have to try! WE HAVE TO FIND HIM!!!”

“Kei!!!”
“I called his parents. He’s not home either.”
“Seven’s camp?”
“If he’s there Yama-chan would have called me by now.”
“Jimusho. Maybe he’s hiding there.”
“Yabu is already-”
“Yabu?? Do you really think Kei would show up in front of that man? Dai-chan, he is the reason of Kei running away from us!”
“Are you sure it’s not because you were being too pushy Yuya?”
“Are you picking a fight? Ah, I forgot, you are on his side.”
“I’m on nobody’s side! I just want all of us to be like before!”
“But thing will NEVER be like before. If anything happen to my Kei, I’ll make sure the mighty Yabu Kota sink! Mark my word!”

"Breakthrough news. Inoo Kei from the famous idol group Hey Say JUMP is reported missing earlier this morning. His disappearance was first noticed by the group members when Inoo-kun was not found in his bedroom. Johnny’s jimusho denies any remarks that suggests kidnapping. However according to the police it is safer not to disregard the possibility of him being kidnap. Nationwide search has been initiated to find the idol. Johnny’s staff and seniors themselves has been put into several groups and are now joining the police force in searching for Inoo Kei. Given this circumstances Hey Say JUMP nationwide tour is postponed. Anyone with any kind of information is welcome to contact the number shown below.”

“Looks like Johnny-san cannot keep this a secret anymore.”
“This is not good.”
“Ne Yuto, you really don’t know where Inoo-kun went do you?”
“I wouldn’t lie all right! Not like some people…”
“Shhhh… it’s our job to stay neutral in this matter.”
“But don’t you find it’s weird Yama-chan? Why would Yabu-kun lie like that? I mean-”
“I told you to stop!”
“But aren’t you angry with what happened? Seriously that was too much! If I were Inoo-kun I’d just get drunk and hang myself!”

“Here, here! Stop here!”
As per ordered, Keito stops the car right in front of a small restaurant entrance. “What is this place?”
Chinen unbuckles his seatbelt. “Inoo-kun’s favorite restaurant.”
“Eih? At this kind of place? This is so far from home!” Keito reaches for his glasses and follows Chii to the doorsteps. “Uwaa… this place is sooooo Showa-ish!”
Chinen laughs. “Excuse me… are you still open?”
“Chinen-kun! We’ve been waiting for you!” an old lady in her 60’s greets the two. “Come in, come in,” she rushes them to the backmost sitting area.
“Do you know her?” Keito whispers at Chinen’s ears.
Chinen nods. “I came here several times with Inoo-kun.”
“Eih??? Why didn’t you tell me earlier?”
“Well… even if I tell you it doesn’t make much different aren’t it?”
     “That’s true… but… ah! Never mind.”
“Sorry for the wait,” the old lady comes back with a traditional tea set with her. “Hajimimashte, Hitomi desu,” the lady bow towards Keito as she put the tea cup in front of him.
“Hajimimashite,” Keito politely returns the bow.
“Is it true what they tell in the news Chinen-kun? That Inoo-chan is missing?”
“Unfortunately yes,” Chinen replies. “Ne oba-san, did Inoo-kun came here recently?”
Hitomi pours the tea in the younger’s respective cups. “Actually he did came yesterday.”
“Really?” Keito suddenly turns excited. “When? What time?”
“It was around 8pm or so. He was sitting there,” Hitomi points at a private room next to them. “He didn’t order any food, just filling his cup with sake. He looked so depressed. Did something happen Chinen-kun?”
Chinen and Keito look at each other, signaling that telling the whole story might not be of best interest at the moment.
“Thank you oba-san,” Chinen sips on his tea. “Do you remember what time he left yesterday?”
“Ah… it was almost midnight when he walked out.”
“Midnight?” Keito frowns. “I thought this place closes at 11pm.”
Hitomi nods. “Yes, we close at 11pm every day. Demo ne Okamoto-kun, Inoo-chan is like a son to me. With him looking like that I couldn’t force him to leave can I? After all he wasn’t doing anything, just sitting and singing.”
“I bet he was drunk,” Keito’s turn to drink from the cup. “Urghh!!!” he almost spits. “This is so bitter!”
“That’s traditional tea, no sugar,” Chinen mocks the boy by calmly drinks the rest of the tea in his cup like that is the sweetest tea ever. “It’s good for your health too.”
“Yeah…” Keito is a bit annoyed by Chinen’s act. “Can I ask you one more question oba-san?”
“Of course, if that can help you in finding Inoo-chan.”
“Did Inoo-kun say anything weird or suspicious at that time?”
Hitomi pauses to think for a while. “Not really, nothing that make me worried or concern. Just, he might have cried a bit.”
“Thank you oba-san, you’ve been very helpful to us,” Chinen bows. “If it’s fine with you can we take a look at the room?”
“By all means please,” Hitomi stands up and brings the two boys to Inoo’s favorite room. “I thought Inoo-chan might come back today, so I reserved this room for him,” she slides open the door. “Please come in.”
Chinen and Keito enter the room at once. Compared to the dining area that they sat few minutes ago the room is slightly smaller, however comfortable for at most three people to dine together. There’s a low sitting table in the middle of the room, and at every four corner there’s a painting and a pot of yellowish-pink flower decorating it. Keito touches the wall opposite from the entrance, and as he suspected the wall slides rather easily- revealing a rack with four compartments that is filled with books.
“Design and building,” Keito reads through one of the book’s title. “Sounds like something Inoo-kun would read.”
“Inoo-chan sometimes uses this place for his revision sessions. He brought some friends too,” Hitomi explains.
“Thank you oba-san,” Chinen once again conveys his gratitude. “If you don’t mind can we ask the police to take a look at this room? You know, they might find some clues that we didn’t.”
“I’ll do anything to help,” Hitomi reassures the two. “Poor Inoo-chan, I hope he is fine.”
Keito and Chinen immediately excuse themselves from the scene, heading back to Keito’s car.
“There’re only books, none of his personal belongings is here. Therefore he went home on his own accord,” Chinen concludes.
“But drunk,” Keito adds. “And this place is in the middle of nowhere! No public transport after midnight. Walking will take around one hour to town.”
“We don’t know for sure if he was drunk. Inoo-kun is the most reasonable and rational person I know. If he was drunk he would called one of us to pick him.”
“But oba-san clearly saw him leaving.”
“She never mentioned that he was drunk.”
“Ah... I miss Ryu!” Keito blurts out Ryutaro’s name all of the sudden. “If that boy is here he can solve this in a blink!”
Chinen didn’t retort. Keito is right somehow, Ryutaro’s sharp brain would easily locate where Inoo is right now.
But unfortunately the boy isn’t with JUMP anymore.
     Should we call him?
“Ne Keito. Can we call Ryu?”
     “Huh?”
“Maybe he has some clues, or gives us hints.”
“You know Johnny-san hates anything that has to do with Ryu.”
“I think he hates the idea of JUMP becoming 8 even more.”
Keito turns on the car engine, getting ready to drive again. He takes a peek at his wristwatch- it’s almost 10pm. Slowly he switches on the light and starts driving.
“I think Ryu knows by now that Inoo-kun is missing. Asking him for advice wouldn’t do us any harm.”
Chinen smiles. He quickly takes out his cell phone and dials the number that he has wanted to call the most.

Ryutaro feels the vibration in his pockets. He, however decides to ignore the call, for he knows what the phone call might be about.
“Ryu! Did you hear? Inoo-kun is missing!” his mother suddenly joins him in the kitchen. “A re?” she seems pretty surprise looking at the tray that is filled with food in his hand. “Midnight snacks?”
     Ryutaro just quietly nods.
“Souka… anyhow, Inoo-kun is missing!” his mother re-told her story. “They even say he might have been kidnapped! Kowaii…”
“I’m sure he’s fine,” Ryutaro pours the left over orange juice into the glass. “I’m going up,” he takes the tray and rushes to the stairs.
     “Ryu!”
     “What?”
     “Aren’t you worried?”
     “For what?”
     “Your ex-member is missing!”
Ryutaro takes a deep breath. “You said it mum, he’s an EX-member. Nothing to do with me. Good night!”
The boy enters his room and put the tray on his study desk. He later closes the door and locks it tight.
“JUMP is never peaceful these days right?” Ryutaro opens his wardrobe.
     “Isn’t it, Inoo-kun?”
