UPDATE.
Classes started~
In Spanish we're still just reviewing. We'll probably be starting new stuffs next week-ish.
Japanese is KLDJFLKDSJ SO FUUUN. It's officially become the highlight of my day. I've seriously been like, doing my Japanese homework early, before he even assigns it just for the hell of it. Also, I'm pretty sure Sensei and Anime Club Pres are pretty much the same person. Sensei isn't into animu and mango, but they act exactly the same, and it's hilarious. Also, I don't feel so bad about taking Japanese because of anime anymore. Most of the class is doing the same, apparently.
"I don't do anime and manga, but I thank God for them every day." Oh, Sensei. XD
I don't know what to think of Intro to Global Studies yet. So far it seems like it's going to be kind of a discussion class about politics and globalization/global culture, but we really haven't done much yet.
Chemistry Appreciation is going to be far easier than expected. The professor was seriously just like, "So... this is pretty much a high school level course and if you had this class in 8th or 9th grade, this is all going to be review. I know most of you are just taking this for an easy A/recquired credits. If you're majoring in Chemistry, GTFO and take a real Chemistry class." Okay, not literally like that, but pretty close. XD;;
I couldn't even read the chapter we were assigned because I was so bored with it. It was just like, "I already know all thiiiis. DX"
For some reason all of my professors except Sensei have an accent. Oh the ironing. :|a
Okay, the Spanish professor has an excuse since he's from Spain and it makes perfect sense for someone from Spain to teach Spanish in a Spanish accent. It's going to take me a while to get used to that lisp though. ._.
In anime club news~
HOLA ME LLAMO PUBLIC RELATIONS REPORTING FOR DUTY. 8D
I need to get me to work on some poster ideas.
We're watching Durarara now, so I don't have to finish it on my own~ \o/
Also, it's looking like we're maybe going to be watching Kaichou wa Maid-sama, Toradora, or Special A.
Special A and Kaichou wa Maid-sama remind me a lot of Ouran. A lot.
I really hope we continue Kaichou wa Maid-sama. =3=
But honestly, we really do have too many girly/moe/high school comedy-type anime on our line up. It's hard to find stuff to replace it though, since... uh... that's what really seems to be the way the industry's leaning lately. I mean, I love girly/moe/high school rabu-rabu comedy-type anime, but MY GOD WE'RE GOING TO SCARE AWAY ALL OF OUR ACTION-LOVING MEMBERS. DX
We did watch the first ep of Scrapped Princess. It wasn't bad, but after Durarara's first ep, it doesn't really compare. :|a
Perhaps we should try watching Black Lagoon again. We watched the first few eps last year. Maybe we can give it another go?
It doesn't really help that the three male club officers all have tastes that also lean toward high school comedy genres. OTL
I mean, It makes them awesome, but it also makes us lack variety. ;;
Also, we're moving meetings to Thrusdays, since the Pres has a class he's required to take during Tuesday nights and it works for everyone else too. It works for me, I guess, but considering the whole I-actually-have-a-job-this-year-and-no-Friday-classes situation... I doubt I'll ever be scheduled on Thursday nights, but... I dunno. Maybe I just dislike that the Thursday meeting and the Friday meeting are so close, and the fact I do actually work on Fridays quite a bit and will be missing a lot of those. :|
Oh, and quick drawing update~
I haven't gotten far, but the Strength arcana's looking like this now:
I will be putting the "XI" back in there, but I noticed it was off center and I was like, "Well, if I'm going to put it there and make a border, I might as well do it right."
So... Now I'm waiting until I get home because I realized I need a ruler. =A=;;
Working Friday noon-hour, so will be going home Friday morning and have access to ruler Friday afternoon/night and Saturday morning/early afternoon.
I do however have my colored pencils here at school with me, so perhaps I'll start coloring it. I was planning for the silhouettes to simply be black, so that shouldn't be too hard. Just gonna have to stay away from the edges and bottom since those have potential to change yet.
