Office Rage!
Well, I started my shiny new job yesterday. It was an apalling trainwreck of a day. But then aren't all first days?
I won't really be able to start the work I'm supposed to be doing for at least a couple of weeks as the room I'm supposed to be working in is uninhabitable. In the meantime I'm QCing old data on programs that I have no idea how to work. I haven't properly been told how to do this as my supervisor is on a course for most of this week. And I'm trying to view images on Photoshop, which takes at least ten minutes to load up. I feel like I'm not achieving anything.
To add to this, the Natural History Museum (where I am) has 7 MILES OF CORRIDORS! Many of which look the same! And security has run out of electronic tags so I'm having to wait for people to go through doors in front of me whenever I want to go anywhere. Most frustrating.
Breathe... OK. The first few weeks will naturally suck. They always do. I hate not knowing what I'm doing and so until I do I'll be miserable. But after that it'll get better. It's a lovely place to work and I'll make friends and come to love it here. But right now it sucks big floppy donkey dick.
