I've been picking through a PDF of the Smallville RPG. I can't help but think that this is the perfect system for Chris. Supers where the powers mostly fade into the background, a simple core system, and lots of mechanical drivers for beliefs and relationships. I wonder if decades from now, playing with our kids, I'll still be thinking about Chris's take on games.

Also, this article gives me a kind of twisted sense of hope:

It's about a bunch of college age online poker millionaires. Well it's about one of them, but there are a handful of others mentioned in the story. Like an odd little subculture of video gamers turn to online poker. Winning (and losing) millions but mostly looking at is as keeping score. I don't know, it gives me a sense of hope that the young might have a fighting chance. That we can't quite understand the world we've created, and there's still a lot of room to stir the pot of economic stratification.
