Movies I be lovin.

There's been some pretty good movies out over the past year that I have to say I really enjoyed. While I'm not up and anal as Ebert and Roeper here's my opinions on what I've seen.

Clerks 2 - Okay so this movie is more than a year old, but I still haven't commented in my journal in more than that long so I'm doing it now. All fans of this movie hoped in the back of their minds for a decade or more that this movie would come out. And so it did. If you haven't seen the second one, Clerks 2 sets us back in Jersey with Dante and Randall and their usual comical mischief...well Randall's mischief and Dante suffering through it. HOWEVER, the scenes do NOT take place around the Quick Stop. Unfortunately, Dante comes to work in the beginning of the movie and since Randall "left the coffee pot on again", the placed burned down. So where do they now work? Mooby's!! You know, the McDonalds ripoff restaurant. This movie caught alot of shit prior to it's release but it was really better than most people (aside fans of the first) anticipated. If you haven't seen this movie, and you're a fan of indie comedies, I highly recommend this movie!

Spider-Man 3 - You knew this was coming from me since from along with Dan and Rob, I'm the biggest comic dork in my group of friends. Again, the third chapter of a series I love and another movie that caught crap from moronic critics. This movie was no master piece but it was good for what it was meant to be. My only bitch about the whole thing was that my all time favorite villian of Marvel didn't get enough screen time. But that's just me!! But for the time he did have, he was totally awesome. Those of you who are Venom fans and haven't seen the movie yet, I recommend it because Topher Grace's performance as Eddie Brock/Venom steals the whole damn thing. The movie was awesome but if you're looking for an epic film? You'll be disappointed. None of these Marvel moves are made to impress the dumbass critics. They're made for the fans who read the comics.

P.S: Call me sick, but I found it hilarious that Venom was, apparantly, scary enough to make the small children in the theatre I was in cry. I had to keep myself from laughing out loud. XD!!!!

Those are just some of the movies on my list for 2006-2007. Once I see more, I'll give my insight about it!!
