In other thoughts I think I just walked in on an entire room of first graders bullying one of their peers. They were all standing in a circle around one boy who was on the ground. The minute they saw me someone helped him up, the circle dispersed and--most suspiciously--the cute girl in class offered me a hug. She played the Cute card. I'm hoping their teacher is wise to such shenanigans--I imagine she is.
But to all those wondering--nobody here is particularly worried about N. Korea's Fearsome Nukes. The test launch, er, I mean "peaceful and successful satellite launch" from last April was proof that they can't hit the broadside of a country. And while locals here can be a bit frivolous (i.e. just because they're not worried doesn't mean nothing can happen) it isn't cause for much worry. More disturbing to me is, why is the U.S. media making such a big deal out of it? It's making a mockable head of state more famous; strange concession to make.
On a completely different level, I'm going to invest in a squirt gun if a certain cat doesn't stop crying in the middle of the night. I mean, unless I'm choking or the house is on fire, let me sleep!!!
