It was the first "convention" she went to, the first time she had ever seen all the gym leaders (including herself) in one place. It was odd. She hadn't met all of them personally when she first became one. Stranger to imagine that most of them were her age as well.
Children her age were annoying in her honest opinion. They were loud and rowdy, very much like that water pokemon specialist and her sidekick were. She wanted to hide, tuck herself away in that cold, dark room in her gym.
Instead, she was stuck in Viridian, waiting for this gym's leader to show up.
