In response to his controversial comments about children with autism
There's no controversy. What he said was untrue and a truly dick move. Controversial implies someone may agree with him. I agree with the notion of taking a baseball bat to his balls.
First and foremost: I want to say that Michael Savage is a piece of shit for saying crap like that.
PS -- It so happens that I personally an autistic child. I also personally know a kid whose parents give into the child's every whim, and the kid has no idea how to behave in public. It is true that the *latter* child is a spoiled brat in every sense of the term, and desperately needs to be taught some manners. But that ain't autism. It is nothing like autism. And only a bone-headed, narrow-minded & uneducated individual would equate autism with being spoiled.
Say what you will about conservatives, but they are consistent. Poverty, federal disaster response, and now autism - the answer is always self-reliance, discipline, and the Protestant work ethic. It must be nice to live in an imaginary place where all the problems of the world come down to a personality malfunction.
just forwarded to a young mother of an autistc child I am fond of. if she can't summon the appropriate ammount of rightious indignation, it simply can't be done.
As someone with an adult autistic sister, I can very easily say that Michael "Savage" couldn't be more wrong if he changed his name to Mr. Wrong and moved to Wrong Valley in the state of Wrongoming.
