New Comics Day, 7/16
A short pull week, so I overspent on trades and graphic novels. A used Astro City book, collecting the Confessor/Invasion arc. alexbot3000's latest Too Cool to be Forgotten. Oh and Peter Bagge's Buddy Does Seattle. Bagge's stuff is one of those series, like Love & Rockets, that I keep meaning to start buying up...
As for my regular pulls, only two things this week. A spin-off from IDW's Angel: After the Fall, Spike: After the Fall. Which seems to be a prequel to the other series. Which means I look at all the humans gathered under Spike and Illyria and think, "Damn. You dudes are probably all fucked aren't you?"
And we also have the final part of the 2nd year of G0dland. With Neela Archer having her reordered reality come crashing down. Plus the return of the Cosmic Fetus Collective.
Yeah.
There are times I think Joe Casey found Kirby's remains, cremated them, mixed 'em with heroin and injected that shit directly into his brain...
