Where's the problem here? crimsonjoe May 18 2008, 23:26:26 UTC
Trees fall when lightning hits them... who's the God of Lightning?

Makes perfect sense to me.

Add in the fact that Thor is loud, portrayed to be a heavy drinker, and always up for a fight... I can see Dwarves bonding with him.

I agree with CrimsonJoe. looking2dastars May 19 2008, 14:54:26 UTC
OOTS, much like D&D itself, is rife with logical problems. And IMHO, Rich's best work is when he points out, mocks and then tries to justify those same problems.

Case in point: there's a hillarious conversation between Vaarsuvius and Haley in "On The Origin of PCs" about why Elves - with their longer life-spans and natural inclination to magic - take over 100 years to become as competent as a teenaged human wizard.

Obviously it's the will of the gods that magic be based - in part - on mental maturity and not just the ammount of time studied. Otherwise you'd have a bunch of 20th level teenagers (by elven standards) ruling the world. Vaarsuvius, of course, fails to see the problem. :)
