The series is an often brilliant mash-up of the supers and crime genres. Plus bits of Chtulu style mythos. They also work in semi-cameos by more famous super-hero characters using shadow, distance and perspective to hint at their identity. A few of the anti-supers scenes (especially one near the end) come off a little clunky. But definately a clever use of various genre conventions to tell a story worth picking up...
