My Palm T|X is showing it's age and I've decided to replace it. This decision came shortly after receiving an email about Barnes & Nobles soon-to-be-released reading device, the Nook. Several weeks of forum following later and I've decided to look elsewhere. The Nook has prooooblems; firstly, it does not make folders. ?!! Then the brand new Barnes & Nobles ereader doesn't like to open ebooks one has read on the comp first, it sometimes messes up book titles (I'm sorry but that numeric sequence does not easily translate to 'The Time Machine') and you have to side-load books purchased elsewhere, and ,and. Eep.
There's other issues, too. So I moved my eyeballs elsewhere- the seed has been planted and I want a new gizmo, dangit!
I then somehow noticed the iPod touch and a day's research later has led to a bad case of grabby hands. Waaannnnt. It supports all but one of the readers I use (Mobipocket has stopped advancement, apparently due to the fact that Amazon now owns it and doesn't want competition for the Kindle reader), plays games and gets on the internet when there's a wi-fi available. But I must discipline myself and wait until I get my tax return. :( But I want my new toy! ;_;
Since there's apps I already have and want on the iPod touch, I visited the app store. ::blinkblink:: There really is an app for just about everything! Probably two. And lots of time-wasting, giggle inducing apps. Looots.
It surprised me to find out that batteries aren't supposed to last very long- I've had my T|X for four years and it still holds a charge as well as when I bought it. Although I expect that to change since I probably just jinxed myself. ::knocks on wood::
Heh, there's an app for that! XD
