I'm back!

Hello everyone.  My time at the project office in Brisbane is at an end until January, so I should be about a bit more.

My exchange fic is done and delivered, though I wasn't as happy with it as I thought I would be.  Oh well, hopefully the recipient won't be too disappointed with it.  I'm really looking forward to when posting starts in January.

We have been wallowing the the rugby league world cup for the last month or so.  We travelled to Townsville for England's first match - a somewhat lacklustre display against Papua New Guinea, though we did win; and then down to Sydnay for Ireland's first game against Tonga.  Ireland did very well in the tournament, reaching the quater finals, the furthest an Ireland team has ever got.  The team is not made up of first grade players, but they seemed to operate well as a team, which is more than can be said for England.  We watched them lose in the semi-final last night, and they were just...poor.  Individually, they are all good players, but as a team they don't trust each other and this led to gaps all over the field as players tried to cover too much space, which led to much try scoring by New Zealand.  Oh well.  At least we won't have to watch them get 50 points put past them by australia next week in the final.

Hope everyone out there is well, and I promise to do more in the way of commenting over the next couple of months.

rl, exchange
