summary: "Breaking the law is very serious, young man."
authors notes: kind of AU. i know, right? and also, this is so embarrassing. i almost didn't post it, but i figured it might make someone laugh. :)

“I don't know if you're aware, son.” Reid begins, walking towards the young offender, swinging his baton. “But graffiti is an offence under section 1, article 21 of the Illinois Criminal Code.”

“Shit! You scared me!” Luke cries out, dropping the spray can in his hand. “Oh, I mean. Sorry, officer.”

“Sorry?” Reid repeats, incredulously. “You think apologising is going to get you out of this? What's your name?”

“Luke. Luke Snyder.” Luke replies diligently. Having not had much experience with lawbreaking, it would be remiss of him to lie. And he knows from watching Law and Order that the cops always find out when you're lying, and maybe telling the truth will work in his favour.

“Breaking the law is very serious, young man.”

“I know, officer. I'm sorry. I got carried away and I shouldn't have done it. It's just, this is my ex boyfriends house, and he cheated on me and I just wanted to get back at him.” Luke tries to explain, but he knows his explanation is lacking in any real legal defence.

“There are better ways to get back at someone, son.” Reid explains, slipping his baton back into its holster and folding his arms.

“Like what?” Luke asks shyly, shrugging and kicking at the dirt under his feet.

“Move on. Get over it. Pretend it doesn't hurt.”

“But it does.”

“Of course it does, but letting him know it hurts just gives the power back to him.”

“What power?”

“What do you mean, what power? How old are you, kid?” Reid asks, eyeing over the young blonde. He's not so young that Reid should be calling his parents, but he doesn't look old enough to be jaded.

“22. He was, he was my first serious boyfriend.” Luke explains, still embarrassed by the whole situation.

“Of course he was.” Reid murmurs, suddenly understanding. “Listen, relationships are all about power. In bad relationships, the power always belongs to one person. In good relationships, its a healthy balance. It swaps and changes so you're both getting what you need. Thus, eliminating the need to get it from someone else.”

“Huh.” Luke answers, nodding slowly. “I get it. So, with Noah - That's my ex boyfriend, he had all the power?”

“I don't know, but what I do know is that if you keep spray painting 'douchebag' over his fence, you're going to be arrested and he's going to have the power again.”

“So. You're going to arrest me, then.” Luke replies, dejectedly and overwhelmed at how stupid he is.

“Well, I'm not sure.” Reid answers truthfully, suddenly realising that it's dark outside and yet he can see the light shining off this young mans face, and glimmering through his hair. It's been awhile since Reid has felt anything, and he knows he shouldn't but there's just, there's just something. “Can you give me any good reason why I shouldn't?”

“Because I know how wrong it was, and because I promise I'll never do anything like this ever again?” Luke asks, pleadingly. If he's being honest too, he's drawn to the older policeman who is currently scratching the back of his neck and looking at Luke sceptically. He figures if he's already being arrested, he may as well try everything he can think of to get out of it - even, well - even that. “And because if you do something for me, maybe I can do something for you?”

“And what would that be?” Reid asks, but he can already recognise the look spread across Luke's face, and his resolve is getting weaker by the second. It's so wrong, so very wrong - and he shouldn't be doing it. But it's been months, maybe years since he let himself indulge and surely just once couldn't hurt.

Luke is standing so close to him that he can feel the heat rising up from between them, and it's suffocating him. But he can't walk away, not when it feels so good to have someone so beautiful in front of him, offering himself.

“I'm sure I could think of something, Officer -” Luke looks down and reads his name badge, flicking his eyes back upwards as he whispers “Oliver.”

Reid groans, and even though the alley is dark and he assumes no one can see or hear them, he looks around just in case.

“Not here, Mr Snyder.” Reid replies, grabbing the younger mans hand and pulling him towards his squad car. He throws Luke into the back of it, climbing in behind him and grabs a handful of Luke's hair as he pulls him into a toe curling kiss.

“Shit.” Luke breathes out, overcome with lust and feeling the panic of a few moments earlier transition into want. He reaches down and tugs at Reid's belt, unbuttoning his pants and undoing the zipper with an expertise that Reid is intrigued by.

“Wait.” Reid pleads, willing his heart to stop beating so fast and his skin to stop being so clammy. “I shouldn't do this.”

“Yes, you should.” Luke replies, pulling Reid's pants all the way down and discarding his underwear. “You really, really should.”

“I could get fired for this.” Reid says, pulling Luke back up towards him and gently stroking his face.

“I won't tell, I promise.” Luke swears, crossing his heart for good measure in a childish display that Reid can't help finding endearing.

“Okay.” He answers softly, nodding as though to reassure himself. “Okay.”

The second the word hits Luke's ears, all bets are off. The gentle and slow Luke of years gone past is left behind in a flurry of removing every inch of clothing separating them. This is different than Noah, he thinks. Somehow hotter. Maybe because it's so wrong, maybe because Officer Oliver is just plain hotter than Noah, but Luke doesn't have time to think before a mouth lands on his shoulder and bites down, flicking a tongue out.

“Oh god.” He whimpers, moving to straddle Reid awkwardly in the backseat of the car. They're both panting, and their breath is clashing with the cold outside, and fogging up the windows. Luke spits quickly into his hand and reaches down between them, coating Reid in saliva and what is already leaking from both of them. He's never been one for too much foreplay, and luckily it seems that Reid isn't either. Luke moves upwards and braces himself against the back of the seat, as he reaches a hand around himself.

“What are you -” Before Reid can even get the word out, he realises. And holy fuck, if it wouldn't ruin everything he would come right then and there. He leans his head back and watches as Luke twists around himself, grunting as he inserts finger after finger and stretches himself out - all for Reid. “Oh god.”

Luke smiles wryly at the expression on Reid's face, and removes his fingers one by one. He pulls Reid into a kiss and threads his hands through the curly hair at the nape of Reid's neck, before pulling back and smirking.

“Talk cop to me.” He says seductively, hovering just above Reid's cock and threatening to slam down on it at any second.

“Uh, what?” Reid manages to choke out, confused and turned on and ohmygod he's unbelievable.

“Do it. I've always wanted to fuck a cop, talk dirtycop to me.”

Reid manages to compose himself for a few seconds, as he racks his brain for something, anything to keep Luke begging him, and writhing up against him. He speaks clearly, coughing gently before starting and once again grabbing a handful of Luke's hair. “You have the right to remain silent, but god I hope you don't.”

Luke chuckles gently against his shoulder, and Reid can tell even without looking that his eyelids are heavy with need, so he keeps talking as Luke lowers himself onto Reid's cock, gasping as he tries to take it all in at once.

“Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law, and in my bedroom.”

Luke is moving, rocking up against Reid's chest and Reid thinks it's nothing short of breathtaking, the image of Luke riding him slowly.

“You have the right to speak to an attorney. If you cannot afford an attorney, one will be appointed to you.” Reid is chanting, more to himself as any way of controlling the waves of pleasure running through his body. He needs to control it, he's not a teenager anymore. He needs to be in control and send Luke over the edge before chasing him, so he chants to himself over and over - everything he can think of in a murmur and a whisper. But Luke doesn't notice, too focused on his own rhythm and trying to match Reid's breathing.

“Do you understand these rights as have I have read them to you? Do you, Luke? Do you?”

Luke is getting closer, Reid can tell from the flush creeping up his neck and settling on his cheeks. And Reid isn't too far behind, as he grabs hold of Luke's hips and pulls him closer, hitting the same spot over, and over.

“Yes. Yes. Oh god, yes.” Reid doesn't know whether he's answering, or whether he's just too caught up to have even heard Reid. But it doesn't matter, because they've matched each others heartbeats and Luke is coming over Reid's chest, convulsing with ecstasy. He slides off and reaches down, taking Reid's still-hard cock in his hand, slowly and teasingly bringing Reid to a climax.

“Ungh.” Reid comes over Luke's hand, and watches as Luke licks it clean. It's almost enough to make him come again, but he's spent and exhausted - and Luke is leaning heavily against his body in a comfortable and domestic way that clenches at his stomach.

They lay quiet in the back of the car, Reid running a hand gently down Luke's arm and back up again, as Luke begins to drift off. Just before letting sleep wash over him, he turns towards Reid and kisses him gently.

“Hey Reid?”

“Mmmhmm?” Reid replies, being on the verge of sleep himself.

“Next time, I want to be the cop.”

“Yes, officer.” Reid chuckles, and pulls Luke closer towards him.

Never again would he doubt the power of his young partners imagination.
