Deadly Drought
Yoohoo! Is anyone still around these parts?
As you know, we are in the middle of a terrible drought concerning news of ESS and to a lesser extent, Van. Also, participation in the community has slowed down to less than a crawl.
I was feeling nostalgic and started looking for any news or photos and decided to share what I found. They are NOT new; the ESS pix are new to me but probably not to anyone else (disclaimer: I didn't join the comm until months after the show was cancelled, so I missed the height of the comm's activities when these might have been posted).
I found these two pix on the Vermont Shakespeare Festival's website. I would guess they are from at least 5 or 6 years ago. Does anyone know what show this was? Was this one of the plays that large groups of fans went to see? I've seen photos from another show (that his wife was also in), but the set and costumes in these photos are new to me.
I enlarged the second photo (therefore what you are seeing here is only one section of the original) because I wasn't sure it was ESS until I did. If someone says that wasn't him, I'll take it down.
Since we are in the middle of pilot season, I have my fingers and toes crossed that he will get cast in another show.
As for Van, thanks to dani_blondy for leading me to this photo he posted to Instagram some weeks ago. His "ink" is for a movie (no info) he was shooting at that time.
Do we think that Van has a portrait hanging in a closet somewhere that keeps him looking so incredibly young (how old is he now? 32 or 33?).
Does anyone know when/if "Ms. Guidance" will be released? How about that other web series Van has starred in?
The purpose of this post is to kick up some of this drought dust and see if anyone has news or pix they've never posted (I know some of you super fans have some) because at this point, there's only a handful of us left, so why not? Yes, that is weak reasoning, but I am hoping it is convincing! ;)
Or maybe you'd like to post your favorite pix of the guys. Please go ahead and do so. Let's show our love for LuRe!
(P.S. I hope someone posts. I was waylaid on my fics due to personal circumstances, but I'm back and trying to get revved up. Any help reviving the LuRe flame would be appreciated!)
