Here's Chapter Two's first part (of two). I'm still polishing the second half, but it should be posted soon. This was originally only posted in my journal a long time ago (and I locked it a few months later). I have left my original comments intact.

Disclaimer: I don't own the boys or anyone in Oakdale, but I wish I did.
A/N: 1. My apologies to Mr. Charles Dickens, one of my all-time writing heroes.
2. Thanks to teddybear9298 for betaing an early version of this chapter. I've made lots of small edits since then, so all mistakes are mine!
3. WARNING: For this chapter, there is a one hanky alert. Just like when weather forecasters discuss tornadoes, a warning means one is imminent (or has been sighted), whereas an alert indicates a possibility, so you should be ready with hanky in hand, just in case. .
