I probably shouldn't post this and not do it myself first, but I have to work myself up to doing so. I'm working on it.
Someone has posted a toll-free number for ATWT, suggesting that people call to tell whoever answers what they think of the Luke and Reid storyline.

I'm sorry if this has already been posted. If any of the members of this delightful comm has placed a call, speak up. I'd love to hear what was said. :)
Thanks!

I called the number tonight to see if I could get through from Canada. Sometimes, toll-free numbers are not available outside certain areas. I was able to get through, heard the times the phonelines are manned and was given a website to send a message through. The website is
here. The page for the comment, which is via Procter & Gamble, is
here.
My comment:
It was with great sadness I heard the news of As The World Turns cancellation. This show has been in my home for over 20 years. I am a 45 year old professional woman who likes to come home at the end of the day to see my show, the characters I love and even the ones I hate.
Please pass along my great appreciation for the creation of Dr. Reid Oliver. His character is refreshing and has given the show a spark it may have been lacking for some time. Mr. Stevens is a credit to his profession and his portrayal of Dr. Oliver is amazing. It also seems that the delightful and so very talented Van Hansis has found a co-castmate that generates more passion in him than I could ever imagine.
It's wonderful to see a story about two men falling in love where neither has been pushed, pulled, kicking and screaming out of the closet. I know many people dislike knowing that homosexuality exists and feel it shouldn't be part of any soap opera. It's very unfortunate. While soaps are more about fantasy, it's not a realistic fantasy if such a demographic is avoided.
I loved Luke's coming out story and the story of him falling in love with Noah, but there is something very magical about Luke and Reid finding each other. It's beyond young love. The way Van and Eric have been playing their parts, I feel like an epic love story is unfolding before my very eyes.
I truly hope when the show fades to black for the last time, we will see these two men together looking towards a brilliant and snarky future. :)
I will hold out hope that something can be done to save the show, maybe a smaller version on another channel. Soapnet? Lifetime? Something. It's so sad to see the loss of another soap opera.
Please pass my note on to those that need to know their hard work is appreciated. Thank you.
