I don't know how I'd feel about this in real life, but I think Luke and reid (since they're imaginary) are far more mature (at least in this fic) than people often are in real life. I often picture Brian and Michael (QAF) when I picture Reid and Stephen's relationship. Even though they were never lovers, there was always an undercurrent there and they were so intimate that it often became an issue in both of their significant relationships, but they worked it out in the end.

My Luke and Reid will definitely end in a very happy place!

You know what? that just came to me, as I was writing the scene; it seemed to ring so true to me. Thanks!
