That makes no sense...?! Why would BOB make him choose?! Gahhh. This makes me nervous =/ I bet it does have to do with a conflict of interest. I could see, in a world where ATWT wasn't going off the air, Reid leaving Memorial and either going back to Dallas or something, so that he could have both, and I could see him trying to convince Luke to come to Dallas with him, and I could even see Luke agreeing. HOWEVER. We know how soaps work; they are totally going to make Reid choose his job, and throw Luke back into Noah's arms. REALLY?! If they are going to put Nuke back together, at the VERY LEAST make it romantic and worthy or something. GAH. I'm not happy. I'm usually optimistic but this just tore the rug out from under me. This is exactly what they did on GL with Reva/Jeff/Josh; Jeff had to choose between his family and his obsession with killing Edmund, and he chose chasing Edmund. -sigh- -grumbles- I'll just cross my fingers that the writers continue doing what they are known for; being brave and unexpected and unique, and they let Reid choose Luke. Reid always says he has nothing but his job and THAT is why he's so dedicated to it. If he has Luke, perhaps he'll realize that he doesn't have to hold quite so tightly to his job. I don't want him to give it up, but I do think that if he had Luke, he'd be willing to step away from the Memorial, as long as Luke was by his side. Sorry, that was long xD <3
