That last line is perfect, and I know Luke believes it--here and on the show (when Noah tells Luke that Reid might hurt him, Luke disagrees).

Great opening, though for a moment I thought it was Luke & Reid and I was already distressed.

It's good that Reid wants Luke to earn him, in a way, before their relationship progresses further.

Thank you so much! It's interesting to think of Reid as hopelessly in love with Luke, waiting for him to get his shit together re: Noah.

I didn't mean to trick you the opening, heehee. I hope it became clear quickly that it was a Nuke breakup. For one thing, I don't think either Luke or Reid would lash at each other like that, if they were to break up. They respect each other too much.

I see far too few first-person-Luke fics out there and I like what you did here combining it with the present tense; both made me feel very connected to him. I, too, agree with sleeper6 about the last line - so perfect. <3

And on another note (because this reminded me of how Noah is so not right for Luke), are you planning on writing a fic for noah_who? If not, you should! :D

Yeah, I don't usually feel Luke's POV, but this one poured out.

Hmm, I will have to check out noah_who. I've read a few fics which write Noah sympathetically, so I go back and forth on him. He's really good for writing insecure!Reid, my favorite kind.
