~Fun Fic Friday~
TGIF! It's the day before the weekend, and what better way to close out a long week than with a fun dose of ficlets and drabbles of Luke, Reid, or Luke & Reid? Or how about some amazing icons or graphics of the guys? (Don't be fooled by the name - Fun (Graph)Fic Friday just didn't have the same ring to it.) Here's

“You wanna make a bet?” Reid asks, looking at Luke, who’s sitting beside him. “I say the Cubs lose and you say they win.”
Luke laughs. “How about the other way around?”
Reid shakes his head as he tugs on his baseball cap. “Nope, sorry, I called it first.”
Luke laughs louder as he enjoys the view of the baseball field from their seats.
Reid raises his hand to attract the food vendor. “Can I get a hot dog?” He glances at Luke. “You want one?”
“Sure,” Luke responds, his smiling at Reid. He loves when Reid orders for him.
“Two hot dogs with everything, ketchup, mustard, chili, onions, relish.”
“Uh, Reid, I only want mustard.” Okay, he doesn’t always love when Reid orders for him.
“No, you don’t,” Reid says, handing Luke the hot dog. “You gotta have a dog with everything when you’re at a game.”
“Oh, yeah, who says?”
“I do. Now eat your dog,” Reid says as he eats half the hot dog in one bite.
“Mm, this is really good,” Luke says.
“Told you,” Reid says, smiling at Luke. He wipes a smudge of ketchup off Luke’s chin. “I know what you want.”
“Yeah, you do, don’t you?” Luke says, playfully bumping his shoulder against Reid’s.
Reid rolls his eyes as he sips his Coke. “You’re gonna get silly, aren’t you?”
“No, it’s just that, well, I like that you know me, that you give me what I want and I don’t even have to ask.”
“Okay.”
“First, you were extra generous in bed last night.”
Reid shrugs as he bites into a pretzel. “I just feel like being kinder to your ass sometimes.”
“Then this morning, you made me breakfast.”
“I made us breakfast.”
“There were omelets, my favorite. And you hate making omelets.”
Reid snorts. “I don’t hate making food. I just like cooking some food more than others.”
“Then you asked my dad for last-minute Cubs tickets, borrowed my grandmother’s jet and cleared your and my schedule for the rest of the day, all so we could fly here to Chicago in time for the game.”
“Well, you wanted to watch the game.”
“Yeah, and I could’ve watched it at home.”
Reid sips his drink. “Now you tell me.”
Luke leans closer to Reid and takes Reid’s hand in his. “But I like that you did all this for me when I didn't ask or expect it at all.”
Reid squeezes Luke’s hand. “Don’t get used to it. I gotta give up a holiday for playing hooky today so there won’t be too many more of these fun adventures.”
“That’s just it, Reid. I don’t need trips like this.”
Reid looks questioningly at Luke. “Then what do you want?”
“You, Reid, just you, here, back in Oakdale, anywhere.”
Reid stands. “Let’s go then. Maybe we can still get a refund on the tickets.”
Luke, laughing, pulls Reid back down. “How about we stay, you know, since we did come all the way out here?”
“Make up your mind, Snyder.”
“I don’t need all this but if you’re willing to do it, no matter how seldom or often, I’ll take it. You’re a busy, busy, man, Oliver, and for you to make free time for me, that makes me feel very special.”
“It’s my turn to say something sappy back, right?”
“No, you don’t have to say anything. You’ve already said everything.”
“Come here,” Reid says, pulling Luke close. He kisses him gently and then whispers in his ear, “And I meant everything.”
Luke sighs happily. “I know.”
Reid looks into Luke’s eyes. “And I’ll always give you anything you want.” He places a quick kiss on Luke’s chin. “There, that sappy enough for you?”
“Yes, oh yes,” Luke says, leaning in to kiss Reid again.
“Good ‘cause that’s all you’re getting for a while,” Reid says, sitting back in his chair and fixing his cap. “Where the hell are the Cubs? Shouldn’t they be on the field already? The sooner they get out there, the sooner they can lose and end the game.”
Luke laughs as he too sits back in his seat.
“What are we betting after all? We never said.”
“How about the loser needs to give the winner anything he wants?” Luke says. He’s already won as far as he’s concerned.
“Anything?”
“Anything.”
Reid slaps the front of Luke’s cap. “You got yourself a bet.”

I am glad Luke knows and appreciates all Reid has done for him.
I think that no matter who wins the bet. Luke will try his best to give him everything he wants after the game tonight.
