Luke spent the night at Reid his new place.

How I wish Reid had said yes to Luke that day. For once, it was Luke taking the lead after confirming 100% that he wanted to be with Reid and not Noah. It was so refreshing to see a Luke who was done being a door-mat to Noah. And then Reid drops a bomb saying he had an early morning surgery and turned down Luke's invitation. Why-Oh-Why? Damn the ass-hat writers; that was the continuation of their utter stupidity, they did not know what to do or how to handle a red, hot, smoking couple. No wonder the stinking writing resulted in all time low ratings for ATWT and the show was cancelled.

Yay, healthy relationship fic!
Great, non-sexual use of the prompt!
LOL at Reid attempting to make appropriate noises and head nods during their conversation (or soliloquy, really)!
I love that Reid doesn't like hurting Luke, as distinct from pissing him off (which I think he secretly likes to do in order for angry!sex).
I love how you've portrayed their relationship - instead of feeling hurt; rejected and unwanted due to Reid's distracted disinterest, Luke feels secure enough to know it is no reflection on him - it's just Reid being absorbed by his (other) great passion. Needless to say, this would not have been the case if Luke had been with the squinty-eyed freak of nature.
And from Luke's side, I love that he realises this and is supportive of Reid and his obsession with all things "brain."
