Or how about some amazing icons or graphics of the guys? (Don't be fooled by the name - Fun (Graph)Fic Friday just didn't have the same ring to it.) Here's ( Read more... )

Luke was never one to live his life by a routine-not after he was expelled from college, anyway. Although he worked diligently at his Foundation, being the boss meant he worked his own hours. His schedule at Grimaldi Shipping varied depending on how urgently he was needed-which, once he had reliable people in place, wasn’t as often as it had been in the harried aftermath of Damian’s dumping the company in his lap. Luke loved how he was a slave to no schedule. Which wasn’t to say he did nothing-he kept himself extremely busy. But if he was in the middle of something and got a phone call from his sister Natalie needing him to pick her up from school, he could stop what he was doing and go do it. If his mother needed a shoulder to lean on because her latest romantic entanglement fell apart, Luke could be there for her.

Reid, on the other hand, was a creature of habit who had long ago sacrificed his need for order to the first great love of his life-medicine. The life of a neurosurgeon didn’t always lend itself to a set routine. Reid might think he knew everything he needed to know when he opened up someone’s brain, only to find a complication along the way. He could make plans only to be whisked away by an emergency at a moment’s notice. To compensate for this, Reid liked his personal life to be as methodical as possible.

Reid’s habits sometimes drove Luke nuts. Would the world truly end if Reid’s toothbrush wasn’t in the left slot facing left? Did Reid always have to take the first shower when they woke up at the same time in the morning? Did Reid always have to get the last word in when they fought?

The answer to all these questions was apparently yes.

There was one thing Reid always did, however, that Luke absolutely adored. He never said anything to Reid about it, though, because he suspected Reid would be embarrassed he knew Luke was aware of it. Whenever Reid got an emergency page in the middle of the night, he dressed as quickly and quietly as possible so as not to wake Luke up. Reid walked over to the right side of the bed and took one last look at Luke. Then he smoothed Luke’s hair back from his forehead, dropped a gentle kiss on his brow, and whispered, “I love you,” before he left.

In Luke’s eyes, it made up for everything else.

I was hoping this was gonna come, and it still made me laugh, heh.

I guess Luke takes comfort in Reid's rigid, methodical ways too. Good one.

Reid and his habits - I guess routines aren't always bad ;)

Beautiful, because you just never know and you want them to know that you love them every time you walk out the door no matter the time:-)

In Reid's line of work, I suspect that's part of the reason he does it every time he leaves. You just never know... :)

Awwww. Love this!

I am so, so glad that the show threw in that little tidbit about Reid's OCD tendicies because it is quite adorable and amusing to ponder. :)
