All Clear
Luke leaned forward on the counter of the nurses’ station. “I’m looking for Dr. Oliver.”
Reid slapped Luke’s ass with the folder in his hand. “He’s right behind you, Mr. Snyder.” He then leaned closer to Luke to whisper in his ear. “Just the way you like me.”
Luke grinned and turned around. He slipped his arms around Reid’s waist, pulling Reid closer to him. “And I’m right where you like me to be: standing by my man.”
Reid smiled and touched Luke’s cheek. He nodded. “I heard.”
Luke shrugged. “It was nothing.”
“Nothing? Because of you, I get to keep my position, you get to keep your seat on the board, and we get to continue playing with each other’s cocks in spite of the hospital policies we’ve been accused of violating.”
Luke briefly kissed Reid. “Like I said, it was nothing.”
“That’s not what I heard. Apparently, after you got done putting everybody in their place inside that boardroom, even Leland Pierce was on the verge of crying.”
Luke laughed. “Let’s just say a little blackmail never hurt anyone.”
“I’ll second that,” Reid said, nodding. “It certainly didn’t hurt me.” He kissed Luke. “But seriously, what did you do?”
“A Grimaldi never reveals his secrets,” Luke said with a wink.
“Oh, come on, not even to me?”
“I’ll simply tell you it involved my usual antics: shouting, a few tears, and my many varied angry and irritated facial expressions,” Luke said.
Reid cringed exaggeratedly. “Not the faces!”
Luke nodded proudly. “I showed them all.”
“No wonder you saved us both.” Reid kissed Luke again. “I don’t like it when you get angry at me, but I have to admit I enjoy it immensely when you go all drama-queen on someone else.”
“Yeah?” Luke asked as he tightened his arms around Reid.
“And I’m also glad you’re always in everyone’s business, especially mine, Mr. Nosy,” Reid said, touching Luke’s nose.
Luke released Reid’s waist and wrapped his arms around his neck. “Whatever you do to Reid Oliver, you do to me,” he whispered against Reid’s ear.
“It goes both ways, Mr. Snyder,” Reid whispered back. He then pulled away slightly to look at Luke. “Want to join me in the Chief of Staff’s office so I can properly thank you for everything you did for me?”
“Everything I did for us,,” Luke corrected. “And yes, I’d love to join you, Doctor. As of today, we’re allowed to have as personal and indecent a relationship as we want and no one can stop us.”
Reid grinned. “Let’s go then.”
