TGIF! It's the day before the weekend, and what better way to close out a long week than with a fun dose of ficlets and drabbles of Luke & Reid? Or how about some amazing icons or graphics of the guys? Don't be fooled by the name - Fun (Graph)Fic Friday just didn't have the same ring to it. Here's your chance to contribute a short

Okay, I have no fic, so y'all can breathe a sigh of relief ;), but anyone up for discussing the guys' favorite Olympic disciplines (and athletes)?

I think Luke would of course like basketball and most of the equestrian sports (which Reid would snort at), but what else?

Reid... hmm, I definitely think anything that involves a lot of precision and at least a little bit of tactical thinking would appeal to him. Also, we know arrogance would probably a huge draw, so the sprint disciplines? :D Pole vault because it has that element of defying gravity? Rowing because it's such a Harvard tradition?
Basically, I have him pegged as someone who likes clear-cut sports where at the end, you have a specific time/height/distance/etc. that can be measured, as opposed to those sports where you need judges and get more or less subjective point rankings.

That said though, they both totally watch high diving and all the other stuff that involves swimsuits or the other skintight suits that often cause people to end up on awkwardboners.com :P

I like your thinking and I imagine that they both like the men's swimming, diving and volleyball (just about every gay guy I know has commented on how hot the U.S. men's volleyball team is). I could also see them getting into wrestling (watching just enough to get inspired to try all the holds, flips, etc. on each other). I better go now because my mind is getting more and more filthy as I think through all the sports.

Oh swimming, definitely. It would be totally Un-American for them not to like it, too. I have somehow managed to miss volleyball completely (but instead caught about 90% of all beach volleyball matches, it seems), so I'll take your and your friends' word for it. But really, how could Luke and Reid not like hot sweaty guys?
Tee hee hee at the wrestling - you sure you don't want to come back and write about that? You know, since your brain's already supplying all the images? ;)

I think Reid would like men's gymnastics, beach volleyball, swimming, and diving for purely aesthetic reasons. I think he'd also like the slo mo shots of the male runners. And when he turned off the tv at midnight, he'd be reaching for Luke. :)

Luke would like all the team stuff, like basketball, volleyball, and soccer.

Is it weird that we think we have fictional characters pegged? Haha...

And eh, nothing wrong with that, right? We've already known them for 2+ years now, so we have them aaaall figured out, right?

I could totally see Luke being into anything, the more obscure, the better. Reid would just sit beside him, and point out all head injuries associated with each sport. (But he'll secretly would be enjoying fencing)

Reid would also have a field day mocking BMX. All those grown men on their miniature bikes crushing into each other all day long.

Ha, yeah, I can just see that. And really, most sports have major potential for head injuries, so that probably makes them more interesting for Reid. :D
