Reid could not get over how gorgeous and precious Luke looked, standing in the doorway of their hotel room, in a sleep pants and tee, blushing like a virgin bride. He sat on the side of the bed waiting on Luke who did not look as sure as he had sounded the night before when he told Reid that he was ready to take this big step into their relationship. It had been four months since they had started dating and spending random nights together, and Reid was more than ready for this moment. Pulling his own shirt over his head, clad now in a pair of sweat pants, Reid held his hand out to Luke who hesitantly took it, and sat down on the bed beside him. Feeling the tremble in his soon to be lover's hand Reid turned Luke's face to his own, and after lightly kissing him asked hopefully," You are sure about this aren't you?" The two had given mutual hand jobs, frotted a couple of times, and blow-jobs were a regular thing, but Reid still sensed fear of sex in Luke

This is my take on the confession of love (written for a prompt over at LRO, but I figured it would also work well here too ... )

The Uninvited GuestReid raced down the corridor, pulling on his jacket and cursing under his breath as he almost tripped over his own feet. Shit, he really was late - and after everything he’d promised Luke. They’d met for a quick coffee yesterday in Java, and Luke had invited him to a barbeque at the farm - the first one of the summer - which Lily and Holden were hosting to celebrate their latest reunion. Reid grinned to himself as he remembered the nervous look on Luke’s face as he tried to get the words out, tried not to show how nervous he was that Reid would say no - as he usually did where Snyder family occasions were concerned. But he could tell from the faintly pleading look in Luke’s eyes - too expressive to be able to hide his true feelings - what a big deal it was to him

“So you’ll come then?” Luke wheedled, threading his fingers through Reid’s as they walked towards the exit and flashing him his broadest smile. He knew Reid wouldn’t be able to resist that. “And you’ll make sure you leave work early

“Well,” Reid called as he stepped forward out of the shadow cast by a large maple, the harsh tone of his voice suddenly silencing their laughter. Luke sprang back looking guilty, and tried to put as much distance between himself and Noah as possible. Ethan disappeared into the nearby tree-house, poking out his tongue at Noah’s back as he scrambled up the ladder. And Noah? Well, Noah just smiled, his look of smug self-satisfaction on his face making Reid - who wasn’t normally a violent man - want to knock him on his ass
